So, looking at screenshots all over the forums, are all rares - or at least rare tamables - bigger then normal now or what? I'm a little confused.... heh

Not all of them. I tamed the Strider Clutchmother a little bit ago, and she was still her normal size.

A lot are but not all.

Most of the rare wolves I've seen are normal sized, but the rare spiders have been huge. I've also seen small birds and beetles. And then I've seen huge bears.

So, I guess to answer your question...no. All aren't huge, but a lot are.
