Anyone know his respawn timer? Also does NPC Scan pick him up? In WoWHead, someone said it doesnt cause of the ID or something.

I found him 18 hours after the last spawn I knew about and NPC Scan didn't pick it up. Of course, I could've also missed at least one spawn.

I'm still debating if I'll keep Rex though.

Oh dear.....hmmm......thats troublesome

NPC works on him for me. He spawned for me around 6-8 hours after he had been suspected of being tamed.

Npcscan found him for me. One of my favs so far.

he spawned at the east entrance for me, camped him for about 2 hrs.

Just picked this guy up yesterday evening around 3pm server time on the Silver Hand server. NPCscan did go off and I spotted him before that using track beasts. He was underground pathing in one of the tunnels. I was told that he had a 7hr spawn time (but I have no idea how accurate that is). Best of luck on your hunt, Taluwen!

I just got done doing my random regular for the day and Rex was right there waiting for me! And yes, NPC Scan did go off. Scared me half to death!

For future reference, unless you camped for 18 hours, someone else could have easily tamed (or killed ) Rex Ashil in the interim when you weren't there. So, I'd take spawn times like this with a grain of salt, especially with a lower-level rare.

Is he really that rare? I went looking for him and he was right there. Hmmm... maybe I shouldn't have abandoned him when I tamed Olm. But better him than Aotona, Skoll or Ashtail, I guess.

With most of the population in the Cata regions, theres less and less people in original WoW with the exception of the few leveling. I for one had almost no trouble taming the rares from the original WoW areas. But I guess it depends on the server too.

I just got mine today, pretty sweet skin, I might add. The benefit of him being all the way out in Silithus, is that almost nobody is there. I camped my toon there and couldn't find him, then after playing on my alt for an hour, logged over on a whim. Low and behold, he was there! I'm pretty happy.

Actually, ashtail has a much shorter spawn timer. The reason for Ashtail being so hard to get at first was because that fox was one of the few Cataclysm rares that was available before the expansion itself was released, and thus was heavily camped on realms for several days.
