Was poked, prodded and generally maimed by friends 'till this was posted. Many apologies!

I've currently been doodling my entire stables during whilst lurking in dungeon queues. After all, it's a trip through memory lane... And it's a good excuse to practice drawing beasties! 'Tis a just a little side-project and a chance to sketch things in media I've never used. Hopefully no one's blinded by the awful artwork and rampant photoshop abuse/experimentation!

Not sure about opening for requests at the moment- semester starts this week! Might be able to when things get settled.

Stables (6/25 complete!)

None of these took longer than 25 minutes!

Firstly, Spineless 'zee Karoma. 'Tis merely a slap-dash 10 minute potatoshop doodle. She took only a minimal amount of camping, thankfully!



Apook the turtle! Creative name is creative. Been contemplating trading her for Terrorpene, but... The old-world turtles have such a loveable charm about them! Can't... Abandon!



Sandbag the Crocolisk. Tamed him temporarily in Uldum whilst in dire need of a tanking pet... And grew a little too attatched!



Omacatl 'zee Raptor. One of my first pets! She's my baby!



Crook the Zaricotl. Randomly decided to tame him this patch... And completely fell in love! Banana vulture! Took far too long to name, however.



And Floof's happily taken over my signature!

Wait, wait, wait, wait.

These took you no more than TWENTY FIVE minutes? I can't get ANYWHERE near that quality art, and it varies from half an hour to an hour to do!

Omacatl is just...wow! They're all good, but my goodness does that raptor have pizazz! I also like Crook, he looks suitably evil.

I am exceedingly impressed. They are amazing in their own right but the fact that none of them took you more than 25 minutes? Wow, you are one heck of an artist!

Airirrkeeek! Thank'ee! And an awful step-by-step incoming!

1. Five minute sketch! Went a bit crazy with an eraser here. >.>


2. Scan and and add a DARK BACKGROUND. (In photoshop!)


3. Add some highlights/base colours! There's a spot o' blue abuse here, shhh.


4. Added some crazily sloppy shading and MORE HIGHLIGHTS.


5. Many highlights left side!


6. A spot of dodge abuse here. Used the overlay layer setting to add in some silly stripes.


Then add even -more- highlights, tidy up 'zee sloppy bits... And done! Can add a little more detail into the descriptions if needed. Genuinely doesn't take long at all!

Question about Sandbag xD :

Are the outlines traditionally inked? :O They look sooooooo thin and smooth.
I'm a smudge hoar when it comes to digital coloring and still learning. >.>;
Omacatl is definitely my favourite of the bunch, I really adore the way you color. <3

Oh! Sandbag's entirely traditional! (The only one so far. Ran outta' marker paper!) The lines are honestly not at all that smooth IRL. >.>

That really is developing into a great artstyle there. You should most definitely keep at it!

You should try one out! They're suprisingly decent models for their age! Though, they're likely an aquired taste, too. At least they don't suffer from that annoying hover-butt animation bug- thank goodness.

And... Am thinking about opening requests, but not entirely sure. The only issue is that I can't do a requested style- can only draw with what I have at hand (don't have photoshop during classes)! Could turn out as a fancy portrait, or a sillycheesy doodle. Depends entirely on where I am and what I feel like! Think this'd upset folk ("I WANTED A FANCY PORTRAIT GHRAAAH". It's happened before!) so likely won't be doing many. /longwindedness

Wasn't too fond of Sambas myself! But... He grew on me. Too floofy! I'll shush!
