Skoll Avatar and a few questions!

So, today I spent a few hours learning how to animate a drawing. I ended up with an ultra-jerky, mostly-static Skoll animated avatar.

So here are my questions!
1. Are animated avatars allowed? >.< I've not seen them. They might take up too much memory, which I completely understand.

2. How do I slow down the loop speed?! I intended for it to loop once every 60 seconds or so, not without pause! Would anyone happen to know?

1. As far as I'm aware, they are. The little pokemon animated ones ran around for a while.
2. No idea there, I'm sorry.

Sprry it took me a while to respond.
First, let me say that this little animation is looking pretty awesome so far :D

As for your questions:
1) Yes, you're allowed animated avitars, so long as they follow the avatar rules set here (no larger than 50kb, no bigger than 100x100 or smaller than 50x50)
2) I'm not too sure what program you're using to animate it, but generally if you want to add in a pause, you place in extra frames of the image you want it to be still at.

^-- Add more still frames of the same picture and keep testing the animation until you're happy with it. But if you don't want to do that and have the patience, you could draw more frames of slightly different pictures of the animation to make it look even smoother and natural.
