Okay, so while questing on an alt yesterday in Dun Morog, I noticed something strange. Shimmer Ridge had alot of boars. Like, ALOT of boars. All critters.

Today I nabbed my priest to check out the critter count and how fast the respawn is, and I'm simply in awe. It's an amazing location, not populated AT ALL, all the mobs are level 5-6 so anyone can do it, and the boars respawn FAST. Seriously fast.

I've been farming it for a while now, and I'm more pleased than any location I've tried so far. I don't think it's been mentioned anywhere, so I though I'd share it with anyone interested

Yeah it's a pain on a hunter, so I rather do it on my priest. My bf does it on his mage at the same time, in Borean Tundra on the glacier isles.

there are groups of sheep at 51/49 and 57/55 uldum and some incidentals in those areas. They respawn fast also.

Theres sheep in the mountains above stormwind, one of them is explosive and can nearly knock you off the mountain but I heard it's good D:

It knocks you off as soon as you even try to hit one :/ I wouldn't go there.

Myself and 15 friends managed to get this and Crittergeddon within an hour and a half for our guild. We farmed the room of the former boss High Priest Venoxis in ZG. His room is still packed full of various snake critters and a few beetles. They respawn in less then 20 seconds at most from what we saw. We started with just four people farming critters but, after advertising the achievement in guild a few times, found our way up to 15 "raid" members. If I'm correct, for each guildy grouped with us (15) at the location it made it so that we got fifteen towards the achievement per single snake killed. It added up surprisingly fast and we had a ton of fun doing it.

Thank you! It seems to be a little thought of location (we had no critter competition for the whole thing) so I figured I would share.

Aparently 4.0.6 fixed the multiple count per one kill

Does anyone know about the Terrorweb Tunnel in EPL on the western side of the map by the river? That place is just crawling with spiders, beetles, scorpions and roaches just crying to be squashed! I love that spot! As for the best class to do it? I suggest Death Knight, as you can just spam Bloodboil the whole way and lay a Death and Decay or two along the way. Also it's in proximity to Ebon Hold is a plus, so mass critter murder is only a Deathgate away!

Yep but there's usualy atleast 2 more people farming the tunnel on my server

my guild had two paladins and a mage doing that one for us to grind out the final 7k kills in an overnight session. needless to say, the prot paladin has banned the holy paladin from looking at their achievement tab ever again.

my guild did this all the way to our armadillos as well

BY THE WAY - if you are standing in this room when someone does the quest, you and everyone else will die too! this happened to a friend and i when a low 30s horde player ran in and started the RP event, and then suddenly we were both one shot (at 85). you res at the gy alive though. it was *hilarious*....i would love to see this happen to a huge guild group lol.

Yeah that spot is always being farmed. Best to go there after peak hours.

We got our pups today! Forgot to update hehe. Combination of the boars, ZG and Afking wiht the Wasteling in the tram did the trick.

Now, 50k more to go... >_>

Are you guys using a targeting macro? Can't figure out a good way to do this on my main (hunter) without a macro. >.<

I avoided doing it on a hunter...Your best shot is either Priest wiht Holy Nova, Mage with Arcane Explosion, DK with Bloodboil, or I sometimes used a Pala with Holy Wrath.

Just anything with an instant cd AoE Seeing a hunter can only use Multi-shot, has a big focus cost and you need to target, I suppose this would be very time consuming..
