New here, and my Arcturis story!

So i actually spend a decent amount of time here on petopia forums browsing all the different pets and pet stories, and i finally decided to join!

My Arcturis story isn't anything special but its one that i will remember! I camped the spot that he spawns for around 11-13 hour. During this time people stopped to asked what i was doing and how long i've been there. A few horde attempted to gank me out of the sky, mostly petty attempts, but each one failed. On with the story, so about 15 mins before he spawned a horde flew up beside me, i presumed that he was waiting for Arcturis too. The hunter was level 85, which was no match for me, a level 74. He insisted to attempt to get within range of me to shoot me out of the sky, but proceeded to fail. Since that didn't work, he then sat right next to me in the sky. After 15 mins of waiting, Arcturis spawned. Inside of me, i had this gut feeling that the hunter was possibly looking away from the computer. I flew down really quick, laid my trap and proceeded to tame him. Less than a second after i tamed him, the 85 hunter swoops down as i'm mounting. Begins to shoot, only getting one shot off, while i fly away with my new, awesome bear!

Thanks everyone! I think when i level today to 76 I'm going to go on the hunt for Loque'nahak, any tips for me?

Haha very nice! im glad a jerk like that didnt get Arci, i have no soft spot for anyone who tries to ruin the other hunters day purposely like that, pvp server or not >_> grats on your new shiny beast ^^

Hmmmm Loque..... ppl across many servers have caught him either in the southeast spawns with the gorillas, some have caught him at the pillar in south sholazar thats near the Waygate, others have seen him in his spawns to the southwest (pretty much everyones saying the south spawns are the best chance) but i personally found him in his very far northern spot overlooking the Goretalon Rocs and my guild master found him in the northwest spawn that separates the mammoths from Shango by a stream.

And the sholazar rares dont share a spawn timer apperently but they are also prone to show up whenever the hell they want to... there isnt really any specific time of day (morning, afternoon, evening, night, dawn) with the exception of Aotona who perfers dawn and morning

Circle the spawn points regularly, I was sitting in the south gorilla spot and checking every 15-30 min or so, and found mine on a flyby at the spawn point next to Nesingwary Camp.

Grats on your tame, and I'm glad the nasty hunter lost out on both the bear and killing you.

I tamed my Loque at the spawn point with the gorillas, finding him by sheer chance. It's probably already been said, but try at odd times when less people are around. Hopefully Sholozar is less populated now than it was when I got my kitty!
