Having problems switching to EU realms from US realms.

Having problems switching to EU realms from US realms.
Normally I just change us to eu in the realmlist.wtf, but for some reason it's not doing anything now, just letting me log into my US account, any advice?

europe servers are down for patch right now, might be till 3 pm cet.

Yep, we're down until probably about at least 12pm GMT. Which would be about 5am PDT.
