Re: BfA Alpha - Mount datamining
It’s a nice horse, but it’s nothing novel. I thought after the paladin class mount response (more horses, yay :p) I thought they’d be wary of adding yet another mundane and common mount. I guess not. Man, there are so many cool creatures in BfA they could have added for the CE specials.

Re: BfA Alpha - Mount datamining
I'm happy it's a horse. We've had enough special snowflake things like flying cats and whatnot, so it's relieving to be back to a NORMAL mount for once. The raptor is kind of underwhelming and has horrible clipping with so many races, but the horse is absolutely brilliant. All those jiggle bones make me happy.

Re: BfA Alpha - Mount datamining
Important to mind is that the Gilded Ravasaur currently utilizes the old raptor animations. Not sure what the plan is, but in 8.0 it seems all raptors will just be updated across the board, so expect the animations of the Gilded Ravasaur to change then, too.
Most importantly for raptor mounts, less hopping in the run animations.
Was kind of hoping it would have the new animations already, but I can wait.

The Goblin Hovercraft has been renamed to Xiwyllag ATV. The source is listed as "YARR!".

Possibly, though nothing yet. The only other mechanical mount is the Goblin head.

Re: BfA Alpha - Mount datamining
That's a really nice model, I'm surprised that wasn't used as the base for (yet another) new wolf in BfA, but I bet we could see it in the future. Shame they're back to using the gimpy leg animation on that one. I wish they'd go in and tweak some animations on older skeletons. I know it's expensive to make entirely new ones but I don't think it would be hard to just fix little places where it looks wonky, I've never been a fan of the run on the worg one. (also eagle models have an annoying twitch in their leg while they're hovering)Valnaaros wrote:I have to say that this wolf is absolutely beautiful!

I agree, Veph. I think part of it has to do with time and money, like you said, but also that it is like the original Orc mounts. Soet of a sentimental decision to not tweak it.

That wolf is absolutely beautiful, Krys is going to be needing this pretty boy
Any idea which rep it's going to be linked to, if you need to have the rep like the other Allied Races? I may have to get to grinding mobs in Draenor for rep, depending on which it is

Nothing has been said yet in regards to requirements.
Re: BfA Alpha - Mount datamining
It looks like a new clefthoof mount is coming, but as far as I can tell there's no model for it yet, just a couple of skins. The base skin is really dark:
I think I've identified the armour/saddle for it, but it's impossible to confirm until there's a model to try it on, but the one I'm sure of is a red one with Horde logo. This, and the colouring of the base skin, suggests that the mount might be a new Vicious mount for Horde.
There's also an icon that suggests this, but as far as I know no site has posted it or named it yet. Please let me know if you've seen it. If we knew its name it might reveal what the mount is for:

I don't think I've seen any mention of it yet
Re: BfA Alpha - Mount datamining
I've tried huge combinations of names to guess it, but so far no luck

Re: BfA Alpha - Mount datamining
The parrot mount's name is Sharkbait. Flavor Text: "Sharkbait was Skycap'n Kragg's faithful companion for many years, where they patrolled the skies of Freehold. Sharkbait though, is a fickle friend as he goes wherever the crackers are." It is unknown where the mount comes from, but it is possible that it might be in Freehold, which is the dungeon where Skycap'n Kragg is one of the bosses.

It looks like dwarf paladins are finally getting ram mounts. Just the icons, so far:
Maybe the ram model will get an upgrade in the process
