Re: Petopia Classic site development
Just as a note, Fritti Tailchaser is the name of a character in a book, so there could be multiple people out there using that name.

Yeah but how many use @Fritti_TKA, TKA Something is the name of the site so I'm pretty sure it's the same person.

Oh awesome! I missed the TKA part, that probably is the same person then! The character name just stood out to me because I read that book when I was younger.Rawr wrote:Yeah but how many use @Fritti_TKA, TKA Something is the name of the site so I'm pretty sure it's the same person.

Re: Petopia Classic site development
Yeah I saw an orange cat when I read that Anyways Wain the new site is great but looking at the Wind Serpents I thought Blizzard was going to fix glitches like "caster stats" on pets
Re: Petopia Classic site development
Hopefully they do, I'm making enquiries about that.Rawr wrote:Yeah I saw an orange cat when I read that Anyways Wain the new site is great but looking at the Wind Serpents I thought Blizzard was going to fix glitches like "caster stats" on pets

Thanks for that! It does sound like them, but it won't let me message them. I may have to tweet at them.Rawr wrote:They have a Twitter account Wain https://twitter.com/fritti_tka?lang=en

Re: Petopia Classic site development
I have an article up on pets with "caster" stats, adapted from Mania's original:
http://www.wow-petopia.com/classic/casterpets.php
I'm currently trying to find out if these will be a thing in Classic, or if they're fixed. I hope this is one thing that is fixed, rather than them staying true to Vanilla, because it added nothing but rendered useless a lot of good wind serpents.

Re: Petopia Classic site development
I remember being an article related to the pet chase speeds (Wrote about it in the Pet related differences post).
Also I remember being a couple guides for taming some pets inside dungeons, most notable the Bloodaxe Worg, the Zul'gurub bats and the Sons of Hakkar also in Zul'Gurub.
There was also a page detailing the Colorshifter pets, pets that had more than one color variation and would change colors when resummoned, most notable was the Son of Hakkar, that had THREE different colors (Red, green and orange if IIRC).

I was hoping there would be a Classic site. Thanks for all the hard work.

Sorry I almost missed this post! Thanks for your comments
I found articles on those but apparently pet chase speeds were fixed before 1.12 so they're unlikely to vary in Classic.Shirubia wrote:I remember being an article related to the pet chase speeds (Wrote about it in the Pet related differences post).
I think I have those, and some other taming guides. I'll look at adding them once I have all the basics upShirubia wrote: Also I remember being a couple guides for taming some pets inside dungeons, most notable the Bloodaxe Worg, the Zul'gurub bats and the Sons of Hakkar also in Zul'Gurub.
Apparently those were fixed before 1.12 as well, so they're also unlikely to exist in Classic. Colour changers apparently didn't become a thing again until BC started.Shirubia wrote: There was also a page detailing the Colorshifter pets, pets that had more than one color variation and would change colors when resummoned, most notable was the Son of Hakkar, that had THREE different colors (Red, green and orange if IIRC).

Re: Petopia Classic site development
I did a guide to tame the ZG raptors back in the old days with the original ZG, using only 3 players. That guide was posted here on Petopia until ZG changed, then I had seen it in the archive. If it is gone, I have a copy and can provide, though it would probably need to be re-verified with Classic.
it was so much fun creating that guide. I actually have the video of my raptor tame from when my son and I snuck our hunters in along with a druid.

Re: Petopia Classic site development
Awesome! I just noticed Wowhead is also working on a Classic version. Was gonna hop on the forums and see if anyone started one for Petopia. Glad to see there is one in the works. Now I can remove my bookmark for time machine Petopia website lol.

Re: Petopia Classic site development
Noticed some weirdness today:
Most mouse overs seem bugged on this page but the links are right.

Re: Petopia Classic site development
Thank you for the Classic site!
One thing that I would find very useful is for the attack speed of each appearance to be listed on their page in the table/list.
I know that the speed article is there, but it is a long list to look through and compare when you're considering appearances.

Re: Petopia Classic site development
I can't seem to reproduce this now. Javascript tooltips can do weird things at times (ever notice ones on MMO-C often show the tooltip for the previous link you moused over?), so I hope it was just a temporary bug. Please let me know if it keeps happening.
