Since we only have one opportunity it seems to tame the Aquilon during the opening quests, does anyone want to band together to try and tame it? maybe do an adventure synch if possible?

I would love to join and tame it, there are too many players
Is it still confirmed tameable on live? Haven't had the chance to do my hunter yet, being dragged through heroic Sanctum on my geared main. Posting mid-boss too (don't tattle on me!)

To be fair, it is an NPC that has to be defeated in order to unlock Tazavesh. Right now it is just going to be very difficult to tame it, unfortunately.
Yeah, the quest requirement is significantly higher priority than a few people's temporary vanity. Wish people would be quicker and get their stuff done now. It's such a quick thing to do.

If it was just one Hunter, that is one thing, but if there are a few hunters all trying to tame it, people aren’t going to wait for each Hunter to tame it. Besides that, even if you’re communicating to everyone to wait, someone may show up who doesn’t know and will just attack it as soon as it spawns.
Just watched three guys get it back to back. Because I waited for them, I now see 10+ people per round. I knew I should've been more aggressive and nabbed one when they were there, but oh well. I have time on my side.
EDIT: Got mine. Be patient, make a macro to spam, and pray you have people that understand what hearts over the head are.

It's definitely tameable, but a pain right now (obviously) due to the fact that it's part of the dungeon unlock chain. Took me about 2hrs of stalking before I could finally get mine. Some people seemed to recognize that if there was an ice trap down, they'd give me a second to try to tame, but if someone else attacked the entire plan went out the window. XD
logged in at 530am server this mornin and was able to tame 2 back to back without issue. the sheer amount of people doing the quest should taper off as the week progresses but id still say late night or early morning will be your best bet.
Wowhead posted an article specifically for this tame (quality news reports!), so expect more hunters to show up and fight over it. Good luck getting yours, everyone.

tamed it earlier, had a glitch when the quest completed, the aquilon grew in size and had a flying idle animation
I believe the reason it does that is because, assuming you had it out as a pet prior to mounting it, the code believed that the vehicle version was your pet. So, instead of calling out your real pet, it temporarily had the vehicle as your pet. If only they were that big normally.

Sounds cool, even though it only lasted until I took the flight master
