Petopia needs big updating
There is not much that is right when i checked who is Cunning pet according to Petpia.com. In the game when i tame the beast, most become Ferocity spec but according to Petioia is Cunning?. You can not trust what is said on Petopia! Lots of wrong info.
Re: Petopia needs big updating
Could you maybe be more specific? What beast (or beasts) are you referring to being listed incorrectly? A number of people, most especially Wain, work very hard to make sure Peropia is as accurate as possible at all times, so if there's a mistake, it would be more helpful to know where so it can actually be corrected.
Re: Petopia needs big updating
Sometimes a particular beast will get mis-categorized, either due to human error, or a change since they were first datamined and added to Petopia's lists. It'd be helpful if you could provide which particular pet you found that was listed incorrectly. Wain is pretty diligent about keeping things updated and correcting stuff like that.

Re: Petopia needs big updating
A lot of things like pet families and a few tamable beasts were literally changed last minute in the Beta, so some of the data gathered prior to this is inaccurate. If you have spotted something that is wrong, then please be specific. Blanket statements and claiming that Petopia cannot be trusted isn't helping.
Re: Petopia needs big updating
I'm completely confused, too. You say most cunning pets are actually ferocity in the game?
Are you talking about a specific family, maybe? Are one of our families set wrongly? All pets in one family will be set to the same spec, so if the family setting is wrong then all will be wrong.
Or are you playing on a private server? We don't support those and our info will not match anything that isn't identical to BfA.

Yeah, you kind of need to be more specific and remember that you aren't just screaming into the void. You're trying to provide feedback to actual humans, and those humans need details. And respect.
And, I've found that in the many years I've used this website, that Petopia is nearly always correct, as Wain puts enormous effort into the website as do many other community members, so I do wonder if you are playing on a private server.

Thanks for your kind words, folks . However I'm willing to accept there's a glaring error - sometimes these things happen - but if so I need some real evidence of it and so far I haven't seen any. So far my guess is a private server, because if you're still using <= Legion family data then it's going to be very different to ours.

Okay, I'll admit that I've not logged onto my Troll character in years, but he still showers daily! It's not him!Castile wrote:I smell a troll....peeee yew

Re: Petopia needs big updating
Sort of a side question:
how the heck to I look to see what spec my pet is and what its favourite food is, in-game?
it used to be a tab in your character pane. now for the life of me, unless I'm really growing senile in my old age, or going blind (see previous potential causes for this), I cannot find that info anywhere.
I'm presuming it's like the guild information interface? they radically reworked it and didn't bother telling anyone.

A bit of palindromic wisdom:

I love pets - combat or non.

Oh...here I just chalked it up to me getting senile. I thought there used to be a way to see that...but I was scared to ask since I figured I was remembering wrong.
Re: Petopia needs big updating
The tab they used for us to swap pet specs is still there, aka, under your talents in a tab and will tell you what spec your pet is via highlighting. The other two specs will be gray. For diet, you can either beast lore your own pet (which is quicker) or check it via the stable master interface by simply opening it and panning over the treat icon in the corner. You don't even have to stable a pet to check it through there.
