NOOOO, patch 5.2 was made by the Borg "resistance is futile". It's going to be the best patch for our class since 4.2

If you think you'll be interested in the new non-tradeable fishing mini-pets and have not gotten a Fishing Charm yet, I suggest looking for the Ghostly Fisherman between now and then.

Only a few of my characters have deadlines for 5.2, luckilly:

hunter main:
- get around 100 more valor to upgrade the shieldwall trinket and she's ready to embrace whatever 5.2 has to throw at her
- get any more valor if I feel like it

DK alt:
- keep farming valor for the legendary chain
- get more honor to finish collectiong current honor set - optional, just in case I later decide I liked it better than the conquest one (which is quite likely, since I love this shade of green)

pally alt:
- finish my honor set mog FAST (because seriously, it's GORGEAOUS!!), need about 6k honor more and the time's running short :/ Probably should have started earlier, but I hate pvping on her and really only do the morning picnic-on-the-bridge TBs.

Protip: If you want to farm honor, farm those opposite faction rares from the Sheildwall/Dominance areas. If you can solo them, you can get 250+ honor from each depending on buffs (as much as 400), and with them respawning every hour, if you can get all three, some fast honor there.

So... was thinking about a lol alt, either a monk or druid, on my new server. I then realized that I had no agi leather heirlooms.. so I started backpedaling from my crazy alt idea, but then had the idea to check all the toons on my old server, to see how much honor, JP, and gold I still had left. Turns out I had 10k JP and 8k honor scattered among the toons on the old server. So then I got brutal, and bought all the heirlooms possible from the JP and honor, bought 2 of the guild heirlooms with gold I scrounged from vendoring, and mailed it all to my mage that I'll transfer. Then deleted about 5 of the alts to help me move on.

Lesson, don't forget the currencies that might be collecting dust on your unplayed alts.

Regarding the ShadowPan-Assault loot. Just checked the PTR, and there's a 522 neck available that you can buy right away, and then three pieces available at friendly. So staying close to valor cap to pick up that gear is certainly worthwhile.
