Let's look at it this way. We have several spiders who are recolors of the same skin. People aren't happy, despite the fact at one point, these guys weren't even tamable. Now, let's say, we make it so there are like Madexx. BUT WAIT. THAT DOESN'T WORK EITHER.
Because people have wanted Madexx to have separate colors and IDs for a while as well. Now that you have a similar case, queue the crying. Frankly, I think Blizz should see this and go, "Wait, wait, wait. They're still complaining? Forget them, no new rares."
And then people will be sad.
for the record, i kind of resent people implying that i have a terrible attitude because i express my criticism when something i pay money to participate in does not quite hit the mark for me.
if you got the same sweater for christmas every single year, but in different colors, how long would it take until you were not super extra excited for christmas anymore? granted, the hard core sweater lovers who only have sweaters in their wardrobe to begin with would be fine with it, and the people who don't give a flying rat's ass what kind of clothing they wear probably wouldn't even notice. but what about the average joe in the middle? when you step back and really think about this website, it makes sense that most of the people who would come here to even begin with are hard core sweater lovers. who else is going to frequent a website devoted entirely to sweaters? so just keep that in mind when you see an overwhelming vote in any direction from here, and also keep in mind that just because you love something doesn't mean everyone else has to, or that they are ungrateful bastards for not doing so.

I get what you are saying but just because something (druids) take the form of a beast doesn't mean its sentient.. They turn into cats and bears so does that mean we shouldn't be able to tame them? Not sure if you done the gorilla quest in Un'goro but those gorillas are sentient yet we have no problem taming them. If you don't know what quest I am talking about there is a quest in Un'goro were u end up getting transformed into a gorilla and are able to talk with them and they teach you stuff and tell you why they don't like humans and junk.

Guys, I was just saying in my opinion, I don't feel it to be possible to tame sentient creatures. But if Blizzard allows it then yay! I never said I was against the idea. I just didn't expect it.
And blaze, I almost always use ferocity. Very few times do I use otherwise.

WHILE WERE ON TOPIC THERE IS A CERTAIN BADASS HUNTER IN A CERTAIN BURNING CRUSADE INSTANE THAT HAS NO ISSUES TAMING A DR00D
Wasup homie, welcome to my encounter, Trap and aim shot gogo- PS MY TAMED DR00D IS GONNA MAUL YOU.
Even the druid says: How embarrasing to be tamed by a hunter.
So no it isn't outside the realm of possibility, even by lore standards.

I think what Azu is trying to say is that we ask for things, but when we get them we complain. No one said you are an ungrateful bastard or that anyone else is. Yes, some people are happy; yes, some people aren't. That's what happens when you make a decision, especially when you're a big company like Blizz.

I don't think he got tamed in that aspect. He got mind controlled by some plants or something.

Not the same comparison.
Adding to your example, let's say every year for your birthday, the month before, you got something amazing like a new video game or a brand new car. (These compare to, I dunno, the new families, Terrorpene, Karoma, Sambas, etc...)
I'd also like to point out that's the thing, I don't -care- about these beasts. But this isn't a new thing cropping up. Since Cata, hunters have frequently gone on about complaining and how things aren't like that want. What if for Christmas, every year, your sibling got nothing, while you got a sweater?
As someone brought up earlier, locks would kill for being able to, hell, name their pet. Fire mages would kill for a phoenix familiar. DKs would kill for being able to "tame" different undead. Hunters have it definitely superior, and it's not fair to say, "Another reskin? GG Blizz, lazy." when some classes would be jumping for that same opportunity.

Ohhh yess he did! He even says it himself! "How embarrasing to be tamed by a hunter!" Swamplord is the first hunter to ever tame a druid, and I'm sure we could convince him to teach us his way, by theory is a scatter trap and tame beast though,

i hadn't really thought about it from other class's perspectives, but that makes sense. although, i probably haven't thought about it because anyone can roll a hunter. mine isn't even my main!
what if your siblings got nothing every year while you got a sweater, but the only thing keeping them from getting their own sweater was failure to sign up for the free sweater club?

What if those siblings don't want to take all the effort to drive down town and wait for the line so they can sign up?

Sure, leveling is easy, but it's still long, considering all these rares are high level.

I was whining about it yesterday (reskinned gondria..etc, etc) But...after thinking about it, I'm kinda happy. The challenges involved are awesome and really, why not have more pretty kitties? Sure, really novel beasts would be fun, but, these are nice too. And sadly, Grush's SB OCD will require me to tame them....

He never said 'how' he got tamed. So it's theorized he was merely mind controlled. Not actually 'tamed'.

^ This.
I'd be less upset by it if people weren't throwing around the 'lazy' word like Blizzard has been sitting on their haunches playing Farmville for months instead of, you know, working on a giant patch. These people aren't lazy. They didn't have to give us jack - but what did we get?
Skins we wanted. Maybe not you personally, or Bob or Joe or Alice from accounting maybe, but skins the community expressed an interest in.
Some people will never be happy about anything, I understand, and no one has to like the new pets implemented, but it isn't fair to the people who work day and night to get this content out to call them lazy because you don't like what they did as a surprise for us. This gift horse is much nicer if you stop picking for cavities and look at the big picture. They obviously have an interest in putting the unused skins into the game - there's probably something out there that you
would enjoy.

OK SO I JUST WENT TO UNDERBOG TO FIND OUT!
Claw "How embarrassing to be taken as a pet by a hunter!
I owe you my life but please trouble yourself no more with my welfare. Now that you've freed me from Muselk i'll find my way out and pick up rayge along the way.
Taken as a hunter pet. Hunter vs druid, hunter somehow tamed druid. Hunter now has a bear fighting for him and labeled "pet" for the hunter

I might actually be able to play a lock if I could tame my own demons.....and have an incubus.
