Ah, I'll have to keep that in mind for when I actually hit 90, haha. But thank you.(:

Congrats on your current standings Aela :) It will all be worth it in the end!

Soloing Kael took me a lot of practice, too, with that darn MC. The tactic I used was to start the encounter then run the fudge out of there. The doors don't close until he's finished his monologue so you can run out. Make sure to have cleared all the trash on one side if you do this, not that it'll make it that much harder. In fact it'd probably give you something to do xD

Basically run all the way back to the entrance and wait for Thaladred and Sanguinar to run (and walk. That's the boring part) to you and kill them there. Then run back up to the door to Kael's room, meeting Capernian on the way and kill her up there. Next run down to the room with the other boss on the side you chose - you don't need to go in there but it's an idea to get rid of anything standing outside - and kill Telonicus there.

Next the weapons will come out, run to meet and kill them where you killed Capernian. You may have Telonicus' Remote Toy on you at this point, but there's enough time to let it drop off while killing the weapons. Now, the advisers will be resurrected. Stand on top of and nuke the heck out of Capernian. If you can, LoS her and throw a snake trap at her before she gets up and you can potentially avoid the disorient as she'll cast it on the snakes instead. Kill Telonicus and Sanguinar when they arrive, then kite Thaladred to where the corridor joins with Al'ar's room and kill him. Between getting down there and waiting on Kael for the next bit you'll have plenty of time for the Toy to drop off.

Position your pet in a corner here and put it on Defensive, then duck around the doorway into Al'ar's room. When Kael comes down to greet you make your pet attack him for aggro and spam KC until he does his MC yell, then run in and nuke him - pop your CDs here if you can. In the meantime be sure to get rid of any phoenixes that come looking for you. The only thing to worry about here is his own disorient which might make you miss your first nuke chance. Continue to nuke him as he runs to start the next phase. You can't outright kill him here sadly, he'll sit there at 1hp until he finishes his rant.

Once he's in his room run back down to the fork in the corridor - or you can camp the door and wait for him to come out, up to you - and he'll port you up to him when he does Gravity Lapse. This phase is easy as anything, make sure he has aggro on your pet as usual and nuke him down.

Sounds more complicated than it is, and does draw it out. But it makes things a bit easier. Hope this helps :D

So, all in all, I've had an incredibly shitty day. My novella got critiqued in class today and ripped apart. I know I shouldn't be upset; I've done a lot of workshops, I know how this goes. You come out feeling awful, but it all helps. This one just felt a lot harsher than previous workshops. I'm still kind of sick, my best friend that lives here is kind of being an asshole to me, and my best best friend is somewhere I can't voice chat with her. I didn't sleep well, I'm having to make up absences for Spanish by doing something I'm rather uncomfortable with (talking with a bunch of strangers in a language I don't know well? Great), and I still have a lot of work for other classes, too. I don't have much time left in this semester and ridiculous amounts of projects and papers, and friends are getting upset with me for not being able to tabletop right now.

On top of all of that, because my absolute best friend is away, I'm having to run my daily heroics by myself. It takes longer, it's boring, and I can barely force myself to do it.

I was completely prepared for another disappointing run today. Anzu fulfilled that expectation.

But my absolute favourite run with my favourite lore character and a boss that reminds me of one of my own characters? Not so much. Today, Kael'Thas took pity on me. I got the mount I've been wanting since forever, even more than the Raven Lord. Right as I was about to lay my head down and start crying, fuck the fact that I was in public, I killed Kael. And, for the first time in the weeks and weeks I've been doing this, he dropped three things I never see at once. The Scarlet Sin'dorei Robes, the Breeching Comet, and the Swift White Hawkstrider. I've seen the robes three times and the Breeching Comet once. The Phoenix Hatchling? That's dropped three times for us. And Kael gave me all three of the items I almost never see.

I'm sitting in EPL, and I may run Stratholme again after I attend this awful Spanish thing, as long as we aren't actually going to do D&D (god, I hope we aren't...). For now, my computer is about to die, and I need to look over my notes I took on what people said about my novella again.

But I have a very, very lovely hawkstrider.(:

Heh, maybe one day you'll see this thread updated with that. But right now I'm only leve 86, and Kael'Thas is much, much brattier there.

So, I decided to run AQ40 for a bit today! I didn't know that if you kill everything before the first boss and leave they'll reset, so I had a bit of an adventure running through this place. I did, however, get three mounts! No red for me yet, but hopefully when it resets I can nab it.

Yup that's how I got those mounts! I remember as the yellow was my 100th! I know there is a limit on how many resets you can do in a day tho. Well there was when I did it but that was a long time ago!

The red is my fave out of them but it's also the hardest to get as it's rare but you get the Feat of Strength [Why? Because It's Red] for it!

That silly red one took me ages to get, so of course, it drops every time for me now! Hope you get it soon, and huge grats on the hawkstrider.

It's five am, but I FINALLY have my netherdrakes. I found out tonight that the eggs can actually drop off pretty much every mob on the island and ended up accidentally farming through the last half of the way through revered. I somehow managed to collect around 30 eggs in one night, though only like four of them weren't drops.

I am really, really tired, so I'm just gonna leave you with a screenshot of me on the way back to Shatratth and some of the mount I chose as a quest reward. I'm faaaaar too exhausted to try and take decent screenshots of a bunch of mounts that look pretty much the same, no matter how much I love them.

This leaves only two Outland/BC mounts for me, I think. I need to do the rep grind for the Cenarion Expedition, which I'm going to hate, and Anzu needs to drop his phat loot and give me the damn bird already. I do still have a nice little raid mount to try and fetch from BC, but that's going to wait a while.

I feel like I'm going to sleep for years. Also this puts me at 73 mounts. Sloooooowly getting there.

So if everything I have in the AH sells, I'll have a lot of gold. Exciting! Mostly because that means I can finally get my 325% flying, haha. I've been looking through mounts, but I can't seem to find any good ones for me to sit down and work on after Anzu. I'm thinking the Cenarion Hippogryph, because I want it and it shouldn't take me too long, but what do you guys think?

The hippo will be a cake walk so I'd say that. Um do you have the camels? or the fire Hippo?

I don't have either. I don't really have anything from Cata, actually.

When doing AQ, run in, grab those four huge mobs near the start, kill three of them, run out, run back in... and they've reset, but the corpses of the three you killed will still be there for you to loot. It's something to do with the mechanic of the four mobs being linked together, so leave one of them alive and it apparently resets them all. That's how I got my red quite easily, no need to reset and wait for ages to go back in again. (:

You can reset the raid by right clicking your toons icon and going "reset raid" you know. So you can just pop out and in again. Does not take long and you can kill the mobs up to the boss too.

That's what I did.

I'll keep both of those in mind.(:

I got all twelve (dear god) of the pandaren racial mounts last night, which put me up to 84! I didn't take any pictures, though. My computer was bugging out, haha.

No... My point was that you *don't* have to reset the raid that way. If you do it that way, you're limited to five resets an hour, which is annoying for doing something as quick as this. Read my post again. :P It says that through the way I did it, there's no need to run out and manually reset it, since when you do run out, the mobs will reset themselves, allowing you to do however many runs you want without being limited to the annoying five-resets-an-hour-only thing.

Eh I did fine doing it my way. I liked killing the mobs up too the boss.

*Shrug* Each to their own, but clearing up to the boss only takes a few minutes. You're bound to get locked out eventually if you reset it properly.
