The druid was weak then if he was taken by a hunter.

Furthermore: One case. Look at it as well from a druid's perspective (*waves hands.*) I do not want beasts that are my skin model running around. Not only will it confuse people, (Is that Mr. Fluffykins or our tank? I don't know! D:) but as well, yeah. So he tamed a druid. He's also a lot more powerful than your average hunter. Your average hunter can't run up to Mr.Fluffykins and go, "/Tamelol".

And for those crowing about the Underbog boss that "tames" a druid...sure. I'll be all for Blizzard letting you "tame" druids - provided you exist under the exact same conditions that NPC does...you stand in that exact one place so I can come shoot you in the face once a day and take all your stuff while I collect hibiscus for a guildie that's working on Sporeggar rep. Please remember, that Broken is A BAD GUY. We're the heroes, remember? Herald of the Ancients and all that jazz?

As to the 4.2 rares...I'll admit I'm a tad let down. I may try for one of the spirit beasts on my Tauren...but I didn't see anything to make me puzzle out which stable slot to free up on Tahlian. Not to mention that as a severe arachnophobic, I'm distinctly less than enthused by the majority of the new rares being spiders. But, since that's the case, Tahl can hang on to his "lucky 13" cats and wait to see if any other feline skins catch his eye.

As horrifying as that imagery is, based on the badassery of that quote being linked to Deth'tilac, I kind of want him. Then I found out how to tame him... *cringe*

More on topic: I like the notion that Blizz is going in making these beasts pretty much untouchable if a griefer shows up to try and ruin a Hunter's fun. That alone nearly makes up for the fact that over half the set is spiders. The other part that makes up for it is my Horde Hunter having a thing for ghost pets, so reused skin or not, he's getting three buddies next patch!

Spiders, on the other hand, scare the daylights out of me. As colorful as these ones look, I think I'm gonna pass.

im thinking of doing that for purple spider and orange spider also ahnka/margria just to see ppl tame naked, i find it funny cause they're pixelated characters and they're getting mauled by a lvl 85 elite

Its too bad my stables are full, I have one more slot left but its for a hydra and I dont want to abandon my current ones

With all the spiders they added, not a single one of them are a Spirit Beast. I wanted a sweet looking Spidey Beast of the Spirits.

A spider spirit beast would be neat, i wouldnt mind the purple one becoming spirit beast-like, though im happy with what they brought out. I would of liked to see 1 Gondria, 1 Skoll (lookalikes of course), 1 owl, and then the 4 spider colors orange, yellow, purple, and green since those are more unique but still, im happy, i plan to get Magria and Deht'ilac or whatever shes called and i'll be content. I dont want to have to compete for pets anymore, its tiresome now and i really dont want to have someone try to kill Deth and then grief me a thousand times over cause they didnt kill it before i tamed

I like that they put some thought into how to tame these but im the "way to many spiders" boat. 2 would have been fine, and 2 Gondria look-a-likes? "sigh"
We still have no skele-doggy or fire kitty (not that it would ever happen, but we can dream ^^ ) this is my list of rares i think it should have been.

5: Fire Scorpid
4: Fire Bird of some sort
3: Fire kitty
2: Skele-Dog
And wait for it...

Not to detract from the upcoming special tames, but since you mentioned it... I'd love to see (someday) a spirit beast rendition of the japanese 9 tailed fox. It would be a challenging project for their artists to give it the "Blizzard Look", but if they pulled it off I'd be ecstatic.

Wow, this thread exploded since I last looked at it!

To clarify my original point: I didn't expect Blizzard to create brand new skeletons, models, and skins just for us to tame. What disappointed me was I expected more variety. My thought process went something like, "Three new spirit beasts? Okay, that's fine. I don't play BM (anymore) but it's nice that the spec is getting some pet love. Let's see what there is for survival and MM-- *five* spiders? Really?"

I'd like to think I'm not one of those entitled players who gets thrown a steak and claims it's just a bone, but five spiders seems a bit excessive.

However, I will enjoy sitting and watching jagoffs try to grief hunters by killing the rares, only to be one-shot, melted, or eaten alive.
