Actually it says he's Exotic.

So there is no correction needed as he is in the Spirit Beast section.

There is a separate listing for the old Ghost Wolf (Grimtotem Spirit Guide) that was tamable for a short period, so you may have seen that entry instead of the Spirit Beast one. Though they are identical models, some hunters still have the original that is a wolf and not a spirit beast, therefore it wasn't an Exotic.

Harpier wrote:Dunno if anyone else has pointed this out, but on Petopia, it says that the Cinderweb Broodlings are not tameable. I can say that they are, BUT there are two different packs of them.
Cinderweb Broodling 1 are not tameable. They spawn from a Hyjal Scout who periodically wanders up into the Widow's Clutch, says "I don't feel so good," asks for help and falls over. The spiders spawn, and despawn 30 seconds or so later.
Cinderweb Broodling 2 are tameable. These spawn and quickly patrol through the Widow's Clutch to the nest area near the center, despawning shortly after.
In size, group size, color, model, level and HP, these spiders appear identical. Their NPC IDs and tameability are the only differences.
The tameable ones probably have some trigger we don't know about yet; sometimes they seem common, and other times a full day can go by without them being spotted. They are potentially related to a daily quest.
This means there are two tameable green lava spiders right now, these and Kirix, both unreliable spawns (considering our current knowledge)--and one "red herring."
Interesting copy/paste of my Wowhead post

(I got halfway through this going "this sounds familiar"...)
In other news:
Grimkor's Hound, a
red runed demon dog, is now tameable, despite Petopia listing him as not being so. I confirmed with an *actual* tame to be certain that there's no "creature is already controlled" message. He's only found when summoned alongside his master on the quest
The Ironwall Rampart. Grimkor does not need to be killed before taming.

Surely it has already been brought up, but just on the slim chance it has not here you go, screenie proof:

One version of these little green lava spiders are tameable.
Tamed just tonight at 430am.

Hello,
I wanted to mention that the
Shard-Hide Boar is listed on Petopia as being level 68-71, but
Wowheadis listing it as 70-71 and I've been searching for it with my level 68 hunter only to find that there are only 70-71 Shard-Hide Boars available. Just something to look into.
Thank you. I've been using Petopia for forever now and absolutely love it! Keep up the great work!
(moved from my previous post to it's proper place - Thank you, Jessibelle!)

Volcanoth in the Lost Isles is listed as a common orange turtle. This is as of the current patch at least incorrect; he is a fire turtle like Nemesis and Terrorpene. Only his children (Child of Volcanoth) are orange turtles. He is not tamable.

I didn't see anything about it on this forum and it was a small detail that hopefuls would probably cling to if they couldn't go for the rare green spider.
Your Wowhead post was also the only informative one on the entire page. :U

Hi guys,
Just wanted to let you know your page for
Green Spectral Saber Tiger is inaccurate.
You have her name spelled as Anhka, which means that the
Thottbot and
Wowhead links don't work. The name is actually spelled Ankha (like a shaman's ankh, with an a at the end), which should lead you to
this page and
this page, respectively.

Either I'm having extremely bad luck or there is no such thing as a
Deranged Helboar under level 60.

I was hoping to tame one of these on my 58 hunter, but I've run all over Hellfire and have yet to see one under level 60, even after killing a few.

Murk Spitters are lvl 51-52 not lvl 46-47. I just found out the hard way by making a long trek from Searing Gorge into this ungodly pit to find this out ;^;

THANK YOU! For all the wonderful information you have provided me since I began playing a Hunter. I was out collecting color changing pets and saw a chance to give back and help keep the database up to date.
The Gilnean Hound appears to have lost its ability to change colors. All the hounds (accessable to non-worgen anyway) are now grey and after taming 3 and running through 30 or so cycles of dissmiss/call pet each time I can say with some confidence that the redish skin is no longer available on that pet.

Pet abilities are off.

Now that both Chitter and Chatter are in game, the Greater Tarantula in Redridge is no longer in game.
Rare typo on website

Hi,
Not sure if it's been noticed before, but the Mount Hyjal rare Ankha is spelt incorrectly on it's page (spelt Anhka), the upshot being if you click the link to search for it on Wowhead, the search points you to a bunch of pvp player names and not the rare pet in question
Regards
