Been lurking here for at least 5 years or so now, but I'm finally posting something because I haven't seen it shown anywhere else. We have some brand new leeches! They're labeled as Hoppers currently, but I'm like 90% sure they'll be changed to worms. Only 3 colors that I've found so far. Really big fan of the red!

Yeah, Blood Beasts really need new stuff. There's already those other ticks from BfA with the bulging back sacs, but they've consistently FORGOTTEN to make them tameable. Though, they do scale stupidly big when tamed (via private server shenanigans), so that may be why they're not flagged. Still, let's pray the devs actually listen and let us tame those fellas as blood beasts.

I was looking at the Tyrannosaptors, and...

Yeah that's been an ongoing problem for a while now, likely due to the server hosting issues from before. Just refresh until it loads, or click the link to see the images.

I want to use those leeches so bad! Imagine they get an ability like lightforged where they explode on death.

I'm sure that for a lot of these things, that they'll stay as whatever family that they currently are (Tyrannosaptors being Devilsaurs, for example). But since this is the first Alpha build, there are very likely going to be things that are in a family now that will be switched to another family later, or things that are tamable that will be made untamable later. This happens with every Xpac/Patch test cycle. For WW, there was a total of 966 NPCs that were flagged as tamable, but only about 550 actually were added in, and probably only 450-500 can actually be tamed (other being friendly, unattackable, etc.)

Well yeah, but it's fun to speculate and pray. That's all we can do as filthy alpha-less peasants, unfortunately lol

I agree, but what seems to be a cycle around here is whenever something in Xpac/Patch testing is made untamable or changed to a family that someone doesn't like or something that was never tamable is not made tamable, is a surge of some complaining about how Blizz hates Hunters, that they're out to get us, that they're lazy, etc., or if things do go well then there is immediately people asking for more. If I was the lurker on here and saw those sorts of comments, I really wouldn't bother with going out of my way to do anything for the class that gets the most, by far, out of any class.

Now now, we're getting a bit too negative here. Part of the fun of alpha is gushing over everything. Sure, we get a few negative statements, but the fact remains that there's always more praise than negativity, and that's what counts. Lurker certainly sees the love, if they even do lurk anymore. It's just a matter of showing how much extra love we'd give if we got more nice things, is all! Silly cosmetic stuff is always fun, and Blizzard has been doing good about giving everyone (not just hunters) numerous new cosmetics. It's perfectly human to be greedy, after all.
That said, I noticed a lack of Potadpoles as hunter pets after skimming the database again. Lurker, hint hint pretty please!
These things look so good. Very alien, very fierce. I just hope they're not small when tamed, because those things should at least be up to a male Draenei's chest. Gotta have big alien cat... wolf... things!

I'll agree to disagree.

All things considered, what we see right now only a few days into the alpha is insane. They went absolutely wild with some of this content. Putting my extreme bias aside regarding plant hydras and the red Eversong lynxes, I'm just absolutely blown away. It's like getting a glimpse of Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory without a golden ticket (and the extreme injuries suffered by the lucky few greedy children).
Also, I'm still going to peacefully protest for Chloroceros to be renamed Roothorn. Same with the new sporebats, which should totally be called Sporehawks.

After thinking about it for a little bit, I’m starting to think that the roothorns are a good fit for direhorns, and that the sporehawks are a good fit for sporebats. Direhorns are in need of new models in their family, they have a huge horn and a ceratopsian crest, they could have added two more horns, but it’s all good. Harrandar is practically a prehistoric plant and fungus world, roothorns also fit in scalehides due to their reptilian appearance. Sporehawks are a good fit in sporebats because they look pretty alien and fungal, I noticed the signature holes on the back, I saw the same with the Shalewing but they were too similar to a stingray so they were moved to rays, sporehawks should stay in sporebats because anyway rays and sporebats are the same exact thing in pet family and ability logic. I know we are still in early alpha so things will change, just prayers for my fly trap pangolins to stay put

I'm waiting to see how big some of these guys are tamed.
Because I'm a big ol orc who needs a big ol monster with him! Those new scalehides look great. The nice fatty area around the joints in the leg really are great. I just hope they dont end up like the dragonflight armordons and have the wonky animation speed.

If anyone is in the alpha lurking here. Please oh please report and feedback to blizzard so armoredons and the DF thunder lizards have the same animations as the choloroceros, dragonflight rhinos too don’t forget them. The base for the smooth gallop is the keystone master armoredons for reference

Gonna second worg's suggestion (we probably should hold these thoughts for when we get the bugs and suggestions thread later in alpha/early beta), but I'm also gonna throw out the idea of Flarendo's animations on older Devilsaurs. Flarendo's animations are a direct upgrade in every way to the old devilsaur animations while also having more animations in general for additional situations, such as sleeping (which we can't make our devilsaurs do, sadly)
