There are no longer any Diseased Young Wolves in Elwynn Forest; they have all been cured. Just ran my worgen hunter out to Elwynn just to find a bunch of gray wolves.

Bloodspore Moths Can be found at both level 68 and 69, not just 69. :)

I scanned the entire range of the zone and they only ever vary from 60-61. It seems the Wowhead data weren't reset and are showing the old range and the new.

Time stamp: all pet database related corrections before this point have been made (but not live yet). Stuff like spells and things have not been corrected.

http://www.wow-petopia.com/look/wolf_ghost.html is rightly linked from the Spirit Beasts page, and from the "Other Beasts With Similar Looks" section on the Wolves page. However it is ALSO still linked as "Ghost" from the top section of the Wolves page (http://www.wow-petopia.com/family/wolf.html), in error. That last link should be removed, since Karoma is not classified as a Wolf by the game, and Survival and Marksmanship hunters can't tame him (her?).

I accidentally posted this in its own thread as well.

That second link is for the now-retired Grimtotem Guide wolf, which predated the spirit beast. It's a little confusing, but Karoma is listed on the same page as the untamable regular wolves. The links are all technically correct, since Karoma is listed as a spirit beast and the rest are listed as wolves on that page.

I forgot to post this the other day when I mentioned the tan moth, but the draenei starting pet is actually Image and not Image like the site has listed.

I just realized the untamable bears section is out of date.

The brown bear cub model is no longer used on the Hyjal bear cubs; it's now the poofy-cheeked brown model (polarbearcubeskinbrown). It is, however, still used on the Thistle Bear Cubs in Darkshore. (And in patch 4.3, this skin will be applied to a regular bear model and used on Little Samras, who won't be tamable.)

The black bear cub model, which is used on Lil' Sooty, Smokey, and Scoot, is untamable, but not listed.

OK that makes total sense, thanks. Then I request this: if a look's page is going to be for more than one family of beasts, the family should be listed in the notes field. That would be informative for the Guide, but especially useful for Karoma. As it stands, a non-BM hunter doesn't know he can't tame Karoma unless he either goes to wowhead, or is staring at the beast in person.

Actually the notes field is not visible on mouse-over, so the only place it would be seen is on the look's page: http://www.wow-petopia.com/look/wolf_ghost.html

On that page, if you look right above Karoma's name, it says 'Spirit Beast'. If people don't see it there, they won't notice it in the notes field.

Edit: However, I Do think that the 'Ghost Wolf' skin (wolf_ghost) should be moved from the top of the Wolves page, down into the 'Wolves that can't be Tamed' section.

Awesome! :)

Just caught that the truesilver crab skin IS used on the Juvenile Coral Crab critter in Vashj'ir, but isn't listed as such on Petopia: http://www.wowhead.com/npc=48877#screenshots:id=214778

OK, I'm a moron or blind or both, of all of the times I've stared at look/wolf_ghost.html I didn't notice the "Spirit Beasts" and "Wolves" headers for the two sections. I guess I just assumed the two sections were tamable and not tamable. Thanks for not openly mocking me. Back to the original suggestion, thanks, it would be great to remove wolf_ghost from the top section of family/wolf.html , since there are no longer any tamable wolves with that look, and moving it down to the Can't-Be-Tamed section is a great idea.

Pet skill corrections
E.g. on http://www.wow-petopia.com/talents/skills.html (presumably the same data is referenced on all pages that mention the skills).

Tear Armor (Raptors) - stacks up to 3 times.
Corrosive Spit (Serpents) - stacks up to 3 times.
Apparently these have always been the case, but the tooltips were wrong, and were fixed in 4.0.3.

Dust Could (Tallstriders) - 25 sec cooldown, works for 30 sec.
This was changed in 4.0.6 to match Tailspin (Foxes).

Not a specific pet mistake, but a mistake nonetheless: there is no longer a direct link to Petopia from the forums. Could one be added?

If you use the 'petopia' board style (under board preferences in the control panel), there is still a 'Visit Petopia' link.

umm..idk if this was already know but, there is another banny type bird. it's the one near the NE leader (can't remember her or the birds name) but it has the moonfire attack and the same look, so shouldn't it be added under banny but as not tamable?

I'm not sure Dori'thur is quite the same model as Ban'thalos. Dori has special effects like Ban, but Ban is greenish and Dori looks to have coloring more like Olm. But then I'm not the best judge of such things. Anyway, (Thanks, Kalliope!)
Here's relevant info from Beast Lore:
Dori'thur
<Tyrande's Companion>
Level 87 Elite
Diet: Meat, Fish
Cannot be Tamed

They are in fact the same model. It's just a lighting difference.

Maybe, but there isn't one from any of the other board styles. I like the subsilver2 version, which *used* to have a 'Visit Petopia' link as well ("There was a link here. It's gone now."). I figured that the other board styles were intended to have a link to Petopia as well as the 'Petopia' style?
