Hour 10 now. A guildie's helping me by camping the Abyssal Depths spawn (I can trust this one not to sell the mount) so I have free reign on Shimmering Expanse.
Well, mostly. Every now and again another player comes and camps at Biel'aran Ridge. Neither of us have spoken yet so I don't know what he wants with the mount. I've seen him riding the Onyxian Drake and, more recently, the Phospherescent Stone Drake (aka Aeonaxx) so I assume he wants it for collection. I always check that spot anyway just in case.
There's also another guy who comes by sometimes. Turns out he learned about Poseidus from this thread!

Erph. 13 hours now. And my router will be turned off in 40 minutes. Things don't look to be in my favour again tonight
I'm asking a few guildies to look out for him for me but I can't fully trust them. To look or, if they do find him, to give me the mount. But I'll just keep coming back every Saturday and hope...

One guildie agreed to camp over night but I'm not hopeful. Only morning will tell.

To make up for my so far failed attempt at getting Poseidus, I managed to get both "Swift White Hawkstrider" and "Blue Proto-Drake" today! I was doing my usual solo mount runs and I got one after the other... That makes it Aeonaxx, TLPD, Blue-Proto Drake and Hawkstrider within a week Very happy camper.

All my in-game friends are telling me to get back to Shimmering because with this luck I am surely going to get Poseidus!

Surprise, surprise. Absolutely nothing. Zilch. Nada. Once again I missed my chance because I have a stupid timer on my router and my guildies can't keep a promise. I'll keep coming back of course but this is really starting to annoy me.

Congrats on your new mounts... maybe you'll have better luck than me with Poseidus.

EDIT: I knew it. Found Reins of Poseidus on Alliance AH for 125k.

Guess what though? Mobus spawned. And an Alliance guild effectively ninja'd him from my group cos our healer was PvP flagged, so they killed him and waited for us to wipe before stealing the shark for themselves. I want to say a few things right now but this isn't the best place for them.

I think I should just give up for good this time. This seahorse is giving me nothing but trouble.

It took me a while to get mine and I remember seeing him dead too and felt like giving up as well!

Also I soloed Mobus, Hes just like a whale shark...keep kiting and you'll be fine! *just stay out of green stuff >:*

3 accounts, 2 active campers and ..i don't know, maybe 17hours of camping.. NOTHING. i know what you're going through

When I got my seahorse, Mobus spawned exactly an hour before Poseidus. Gave me a real heart attack to have NPCScan go off for the first time - and even more so when the next one was Poseidus!

Just don't give up! :) Camp the amount of time you can, don't exhaust yourself. I once did the mistake of camping for almost 30 hours straight, collapsed and had to get some sleep and when I came back on, he'd spawned. Ended up feeling extremely crappy and without the mount. The next week I learned from my past mistakes, camped only as much as my physical and mental health allows and was finally successful.

Ehh I suppose. But I'll take a few weeks off; at the very least I need a break.
As I've said on numerous occasions the worst part is the timer on my router. Except for that one time where I was stuck in a terribad PuG I'm certain he's spawned while it is off. Yeah I can easily sneak out and turn the router on by myself, cover it up perhaps to block out the lights, but my computer is noisy as heck in the night and I don't particularly want to grab the attention of those who need the toilet in the night.

Maybe I should invest in a new laptop :/
