I love ALL the spiders! I kept all of mine too, and they're all the rares. I am voting Bananaspider because BANANASPIDER inspired me to try both a common and not to give up on my goals.

Well, the web isn't very useful in instances (it tends to annoy tanks), and Cunning doesn't have anything -like- the survivability needed for a tank role (or perhaps more importantly, the aggro-generation talents).

I also use Cunning pets in heroics... IF they have a skill that I find useful, like ravagers or windserpents. Spiders simply...aren't very good for much except PVP right now.

On the other hand, a Tenac pet with Tenac survivability talents -AND- a non-channeled root... well, that's useful. That was my point. Spiders aren't going to be a top choice for instances/deeps as long as they have a non-damaging and probably-doesn't-work-on-anything-you-care-about-in-raids snare for a family skill.

Ah, I completely agree there. I thought you meant they didn't see any light simply because they were cunning, but I see what you mean now, and must say I agree. I'd love a Tenacity Spider, though I think my Shale Spider may get a touch jealous.

While Deth was love at first sight for me, I have tamed (and released) all the other Molten Front rares for one or both of the following reasons :

- Can't bond with them... Sure, they look really great, but I just cant see them more than an innanimate thing.
- They dont match with my Hunter: As a Night elf, fire things don't really go with her ><


For some odd reason, I bounded with both Terrorpene and Deth'Tilac... I have tamed Kirix on multiple times (Mainly because I felt pity for the people getting killed by him lol ) but as much as I love that green murderous spider on steroids I just can't see it with my hunter.

Solix looks great, yes. But it's rather dull orange color in comparision to the other rare spiders make him harder to match with hunters (Anthriss to some extent too)... Aside that, at least on my server, people are too dumb/lazy/derp to tame Solix.

Solix, while I no longer have him, is definitely my favorite of them all. He's very bright and pretty, and his blue rocky body really stands out from the dull tan of the others. I think the shiny blue rocks are my favorite thing about his skin, it makes him very unique!
But spiders do not fit my hunter. :-/

out of the MF spiders, I've gotta definitely pick Solix....

I had planned on never taming any of them at all....until an even bigger challenge was presented....Solix tame...naked....and yes, it was done *snerk*

Honestly, I really do love all the Molten Front spiders. Each one is beautiful. My personal favourite is Deth'tilac for many reasons, but if I had room I'd take each colour.

Solix is my favourite of the molten front spiders. He's the only one I kept
He and deth'tilac are the most fun to tame.
I think Solix also has the best colouring for a molten spider - he really looks like he's made of lava.

I've also noticed that the red, yellow and green spiders are seen around as pets much more often - I always thought that this was because common versions were available for those colours though.

Solix is my favorite. I PvP with my hunter and I love using the brightly colored spiders while kicking butt in BGs.

I love Deth. I don't care if every other hunter is running around with him. He is MY Deth and he has a special meaning to me.

Solix is okay, but I had to ditch him for more stable space. I like him, but he doesn't have the same connection with me like Deth does.

I am excited to see so much love for Solix! And I can also understand why some folks prefer other molten spiders to him, as they are all really lovely. And even though many hunters may have these spiders - especially Deth - they're still special to me, because they were such fun to tame ::). ( <- that's a spider smiley!). Thanks for all the great responses!

Seriously though, while I'm not too much a fan of any of them, I do like Skitterflame. Mostly for the name.

Haha yes I love that the other 4 have serious names, and then blam! Skitterflame.

One could argue Deth'Tilac is a bit "punny" as well, but it is certainly more serious than Skitterflame, though it doesn't matter to me, I love all their names.

Solix was my first fire spider and is tied for my favorite.
