Not really... Someone is bound to kill them eventually anyway. I don't see why they'd need to.

I did some looking up they do infact despawn after a time (if no one attacks them). Loque's done it to people before.

Oh, Aela, how about the Flameward Hippogryph? I love that mount. (: I'm gunna go for it myself soon but to get to the Molten Front you need to complete basically every damn quest in Hyjal... -.-
Or maybe the Cenarion Hippogryph? There's so many mounts! xD

No, there are a few rares that despawn, but most of them do not.

Hey Aela, did you try the Kurenai grind for the Talbuks? They're kind of fun to ride (cant tell if someone suggested that or not)
I'm confused though, you have flying for TLPD but unable to do Netherwing? Can you ride TLPD at 150% speed now?
Netherwing just need 280%, it doesnt need the super super fast one. (Its one of my favorite rep grinds, since you can find those eggs that give extra rep and its exciting to find those while you're doing the other dailies
)

Oh, really Royi? Everything I've seen says you need 300% but I was thinking that didn't make much sense, because I do have 280% and wow I was being very silly, huh?
I haven't tried the Talbuks yet, and they are certainly on my list!

Herpderp. I actually had this webpage that had the best way to do all of it pulled up for the longest time and just recently exited out of it because I thought I couldn't do the quest because my flying wasn't high enough. OTL
Well then, that's what I'm gonna go for! The Netherwings are so pretty and I've been grinding rep in the Outlands anyway. I've already finished the Shat'ari Skyguard, so I need to post a few pictures of the three mounts I bought from them (and get some more gold so I can buy the rest of them).
So for now I'll go Netherwings, then Kurenai, then choose something else.

i hope this doesnt count as "necro-ing" the thread as its fairly recent, but just to keep your spirits up, even though it may take a while on those netherwing drakes, it feels so great when you finally finish
, i just finished about 5 days ago, and make sure to keep looking for those eggs!

I would say proper necro-ing is 6 months +.

Umm, sort of? I've been doing it when I have the chance, but that's not often. And I've been getting frustrated with it rather quickly because the GIANT DRAGON THAT IS IN THE SKY will disappear and then I won't be able to find him to turn things in? Like the cool little yellow question mark to turn in quests will be there, and he isn't. I've flown to the sky cap and back and he's just Mr. Invisible, I guess.

I was having that same problem when I was doing te beginning of the netherwing quest, what I did was do the /console reloadui and that fixed it for me

No problem! Also I just read your time lost proto drake journal, I must say it was quite the read ^_^ , and it's a little late for this I know... But grats on the TLPD!
Edit: also aela, Im starting my own TLPD camp, and was wondering where the best camping location is? Right now I'm in te middle of he little figure eight just south of the, umm, the temple of storms, is there a better location?

I got lucky (in some ways, in others it was horrible luck) and nabbed the
Frozen Lake spot when I was camping. If you stick yourself right on the spawn point, it is the absolute best place to camp.
Camping there can be a problem because of that-- people don't care if they're being dicks, and if you're on a PvP realm it can get... uncomfortable. Just use the site I linked you to (though ignore the nonsense about only so many rares being able to be up at a time, that's never been proven and is just myth, and therefore you shouldn't waste your time with it), as it's definitely the most comprehensive guide to camping TLPD.
Be prepared for a lot of pain, though. It's not a fun camp.

I went ahead and finished getting the Oracles to revered today (if I'd turned in the quests twenty minutes earlier on Friday, instead of goofing around, I would've had it yesterday), so in three days we'll see what hatches. I'm not holding out any hope, but who knows.
I'm over half way through friendly with the Netherwing (I'm not sure if it's because my guild has the extra rep thing or if they just upped the amount of rep you get for each quest-- either way, it's going way faster than it really has any right to), but I'm not good at just sitting there and questing all the time, so that one may take me a while. I'm just very easily bored, and archaeology is more fun that quests to me.
EDIT: I decided to go and check back on how much the two Nether Rays I hadn't bought yet (the blue and the silver) cost. They were one forty gold each, and I only had one sixty. But I decided to go ahead and sell some of the archaeology crap I'd made recently and turns out you can sell Tol'Vir stuff for like 200-500 gold???
So I now have all of the Nether Rays and a good hundred gold more than before. Cool beans!

Yup, tolvir keystones are worth a lot because of the mount/recipe/pets and how rare the nodes are...so people try to power through the stuff in that one.
