On sale now~!! (just bought mine

)
Normal version is 35eu/30gb, digital deluxe 50eu/40gb.
The digital version gives the pet, the mount, and some D3 and SC promo-goodies. Maybe something more, but expanding the tooltip send me to 404error page :/
And all this for an additional 15eu/10gb... love you, Blizz

Even thought I really like having the physical copy of the game and some extra stuff like the art book and trading cards, I'll probably get the digital copy because it saves so much money and I'm really after the mount and pet. Decisions, decisions >.<

I'm most definitely getting the deluxe digital edition. Mount + Pet + day one access without the waiting in line at a store is more then worth it for me.

I really want to buy the CE because of the loot cards that eventually lies within.. But.. Expensive >.<

Had no hesitation to buy the deluxe digital edition when I learned of it containing both the pet and mount. Those are the only things I really buy the collector's edition for, then turn around and sell the physical items (art book, CD, Cards) to gain some money back.
So, all in all, this was a no brainer for me

I think I'm gonna buy the Digital Deluxe Edition instead of the Collectors Edition.. There is no mention of any loot cards whatsoever, and that's the only other reason I'd buy the physical CE..

Still want the Collector's Edition (Art book, DVD, soundtrack, TCG cards!), but if push comes to shove it's nice to know that I can buy a normal copy and then upgrade it to Digital Deluxe!

$20 for the mount/pet/other Blizz game stuff? x_x
I'll pass, but this is still a cool option for those who want it.

Well I just preordered my CE from the website I usually order from. <3 can't wait Borderlands 2 comes out around the same time too!

Hmmm I don't know where to preorder from. I want the Collectors Edition but I want to be able to get it at Midnight. What do.

My boyfriend and I always pre-order at the EB Games here (Canadian branch of GameStop) then at the midnight release they have it waiting for us under our names. We did it for Cataclysm and I picked up my CE and went home and started playing since Blizzard allowed you to download the game files ahead of time and then just enter your game code to activate it (if I recall correctly).

Oh okay then. I guess I'll try GameStop! There's one pretty close to my house and I know Best Buy always has leftover CEs but I have no idea if they do midnight releases. It's farther away anyway.
Thanks Veph!

Pretty much... WoW Insider posted this method of preloading Cataclysm, but changing the accounttype to MP isn't working at this point. Maybe it's something different. If anyone who's already upgraded could check, please let us know.

They enabled that for everyone in Cataclysm...
Hell, I registered for that 7 day free trial they had a month into the expansion and just logged in and started playing.
They changed it in Cata where the Pre-patch contains all the expansion data, but it's downloaded through the background downloader throughout weeks before the launch. Then once your account is flagged as expansion-active, you have access to the content.
Unless my computer was a special case or something.

Consider that the Pet Store mounts are $25. Pets are $10. Going by that, you're getting a
minimum $35 dollar value for nearly half the price. That's not even taking the unique Diablo III/Starcraft II goodies into account.
And even without TCG cards, I'd still be interested in the CE.

The DD version doesn't sound worth it to me when you can get an artbook, soundtrack, behind-the-scenes DVD/blu-ray, mousepad and (possibly) TCG cards for £20 more. Not to mention a shiny, huge box and an actual physical copy of the game *and* all the stuff that came with the DD edition to start with. So, I'll still be getting the CE, but I can see why some people might get the DD edition, especially if they're having to be careful with money and/or only want the mount and pet really. But for £20 more... Seems very worth getting the CE!

Yeah, and I don't buy the store pets/mounts either.

You're very right that it's reasonable by comparison, but it's still a bit much to my way of thinking (especially since I don't like the mount).
Like I said, I only speak for myself.

I can totally understand how this is a great deal for those who want that stuff, but considering that I'm only interested in the one thing....$20 is a lot.

I didn't know that part.
