MoP Digital Deluxe Edition

I'm assuming that Blizzard will allow us to buy a digital copy of the Collector's Edition, minus all the physical things we usually get in it like the art book, trading cards, making of dvd, but that we will get the CE mount and vanity pet? There's not much info on it so far but it seems very likely. This could be great news to people who can't find or afford the CE, or just plain don't want the bonus stuff, but would like to get the CE mount and vanity pet!

Its good that their doing this as they havent done it before, I think it could be a direct marketing snag from Gw2 however as they did it first. - Smart decision though!

The only thing I might want other than the in-game perks is a soundtrack, and that could be part of the digital download as well.

I'm still rather 'anti' digital downloads, but only because I much prefer to have a physical copy of my game. Even still, this is a great idea for those who don't want/can't afford to buy the huge box with the artbook, soundtrack, cards and whatnot in it. Maybe it'll be the game, pet, mount and soundtrack only. Sounds like a good deal to me! (I'll still be getting the physical version though!)

That would be really really neat. I would love to get the digi one....not to big on all the physical goodies as much as in the in game ones

Being as I play in Canada, but on European servers, I couldn't be happier about this option quite frankly.

:o can stuff like this be gifted to a friend or not? Because if it includes the mount and pet I'd like to buy it for a friend because she probably won't be able to buy it herself, I've pretty much known her for like 4 years and we've grown very close friend wise and if anything ever happens I want to know that I had the best time ever with her and that I at least brought her more then 1 thing, because that type of nostalgia will last a lifetime!

While I still want the physical goodies (yummy art book, yes), this could be a nice alternative if it works like the OP's theory.

I'd be a bit peeved, unless they offer a CE upgrade for the price difference of regular and deluxe.

Why? My mists is already pre-paid for from Gamestop, and it's being delivered the day before launch.

Hell yes! Finally. Been wondering why they don't do this, so many games have for a long time now.

I would like to buy it digitally and get the code so I can start at launch but then still get the physical CE mailed! So all the goodies, but the important thing on time! Not like for Cata when I waited a week for my CE to arrive after launch.

To be fair, I'd still have to get a physical copy (boo, DSL), but with a Digital Deluxe upgrade I'd have the digital goodies once I install...whatever they are!

Fairly certain it would operate like digi deluxe for other games, it'll give you any of a number of things based on the company:
Head start
in game item
minipet
mount

Betting the MoP digi deluxe is going to give just the pet/mount which I am a-okay with. :)

I'm pretty sure Blizz wouldn't do a head start, people aiming for would/server firsts would have to buy it just to be able to get those things, and I don't think blizzard wants to do that sort of thing. Now if it's the regular game with the CE mounts and pets.... I'd be all for that!
