As you can see there's only a few old mobs still unchecked now, but all of the Panda stuff still needs confirming. I spent all the beta on my hunter, but I'm levelling my shammy first on live, so I can't check for a while.
I'm especially excited by the prospect that the "Granite Fragment" mobs that spawn when Wulon gets the green granite buff may now be tameable beasts. It requires level 90 and to have completed the starting chain for VEB and Guo-Lai Halls to access Wulon, but you don't personally need to be on a quest for him to see and kill him.

Confirmed all the animal bosses in Kara, and the rare Crystal Fang in BRS. Of the old world ones, just a few odd ones to go now. Two are quest related and Vern is probably unreachable anyway.
Still a bunch of Pandaria ones to check, for anyone of the right level, though...

Confirmed that Captured Raptors in Blackhoof Village are now beasts. But they can't be attacked or tamed. I think someone on the quest needs to release them. However I only just realized that quest was removed with MoP (as Theramore was destroyed and it was an Alliance quest only). So it looks like they'll remain untameable.

Thank you very much to Spiritbinder for checking the following Pandaria ones tonight to confirm their tameability:
Needleback Porcupine, DW
Zan'thik Amberhusk, DW
Waste Scavenger, DW
Amber-fed Hatchling, DW
Young Stalker (spawn during fight with Rakira in JF)
Still some Pandaria ones to confirm, but getting there

Swooping Plainshawk are labelled as Tameable with Beast Lore but give the "already controlled" message.

Bookworms confirmed to be tameable. Oh. And you or anyone else can still squish them while on the quest.

You have no idea how funny it was to watch random people come up and and stomp my lil' worm to death. *I may have done it a few times too*

Laugh, the poor thing
Thanks for confirming. I hope the squish effect goes away later or it'd be a pain in BGs

I see that you have missed a "beast" boss in Kara
http://www.wowhead.com/npc=17546#abilities
He is half human/half beast but still says beast when you check himout anyone wanna try and see if he can be tamed yet i cant as too low lvl atm

he cant be tamed because his model is too humanoid. not even worth looking into.

I'm in agreement with Zangor on this one, though now I'm curious about Tito from the same fight.

Would be neat to have Tito!
and I agree. If it even resembles a humanoid, it's not worth looking into.

Yeah, it probably should be flagged as a humanoid. As for Tito, he is flagged as tameable but gives an "already controlled" message. Or at least he did back in Cata, I haven't checked this expansion.

I think the reason Roar was ever flagged as a beast was so beast CCs would work on him, which rounded out the fight's intricate CC assignments. Of course, CC has changed a bunch since BC, plus it's an old fight, so it's not as big a deal anymore.

Idk if it was like this before or not but Jade Fragments summoned by Wulon are now beasts and tameable but give 'already controlled' error

He was flagged as a beast because it allowed Hunters to be CC for him with Scare Beast during the raid, rather than spreading out the already stretched CC onto yet another mob.
I'm actually surprised that so many mobs have been flagged as tameable. Once I get back home in a week or two, I'll help check the rest that aren't checked.

I think Queen Silith is a caching thing.. my friend tried on her character and tamed her successfully as the large size. She dumped it for fear of ban but...
I suppose if you have something that auto-clears your cache, which I'm sure most rare-hunters here do, you're out of luck for seeing the big version and taming it as such since the hotfix comes into play when you do. Since she never does clear it.. I dunno! But only a few people saw it as big, so eventually it will go away on it's own as everyone clears cache at some point or another.

think we should get a suggestion out to Noah to get the Razorthorn Ravager changed into the currently unused color?

Good thinking, but it was suggested at the same time as making it tameable again. You will hopefully see it at some stage, but not on that beast
