Spirit Beast #5 - Ghostcrawler!
After seeing the absolutely adorable Crabby from Blizz's April Fools Joke, I wanted to get its inspiration for myself. So my boyfriend and I started the search. He's recently been leveling his hunter, Seabaston, up via archeology. It's really quite nice. Seabaston is supposed to be Cerah's husband rp-wise, but due to differences in levels, they haven't really quested together in quite some time.
We got to Vashj'ir, only to find the Abandoned Reef, well, abandoned. Still, it was nice to get out together. Even our seahorses seem to like each other.
Vashj'ir is a visually stunning zone, even in the Abandoned Reef. It's too bad that it has to follow the scientifically proven Video Game Law of Water Levels --
all levels based upon water will be, without exception, a royal pain in the ass to play through (see ex. The Water Temple in
The Legend of Zelda: Orcarina of Time) A cookie to anyone who can name one (1) example that disproves this theory.
Anyway, today while waiting for my heroic dungeon, I thought I'd take a look on my own. Guess who was waiting for me.
They weren't kidding when they called Ghostcrawler's ability "nerf bat" -- he's completely immune to Ice Trap, and nearly killed me during the tame! I think a 40-man raid group would have trouble taking the little bastard down! I was too busy concentrating on keeping my green Orc butt alive to take any screenshots of the tame, but here's the aftermath.
I named him Rhetoric, after one of my areas of study in university -- the art of persuasive language. And believe me, it took some persuading to get him on my team. I kind of wish he kept Nerf Bat as a special ability, but then again, if they let us do that, the battlegrounds would soon be filled with nothing but Beastmaster Hunters and their Ghostcrawlers. It would be cool though, the closest we could get to having Larry the Landshark.
Anyway, Rhetoric is now busily persuading my other pets that he is awesome. And it's working
p.s. Could a mod move my topic to "taming stories" now please? Thanks.
