This one wasn't exactly unexpected, considering that I had to arrange a BWL raid to go get it, but Chronomaggus is finally mine! I think he deserves a spot in this thread for being such a bitch to get to!
I tried doing this as a PuG at first, with my bf's Mage, Anyetah, and a "young" hunter from our guild, Patrika (she's only lvl 71), with heals and a tank Pug'ed. After going all the way through UBRS since the PuG groupmates weren't attuned, we wiped continuously on the first boss. PuGs got frusterated and left. Luckily, then 2 more of my guildies, Redwind, a Tauren Warrior, and Zaboctbob, a Troll Shaman, came online and asked if they could come too. My bf went and switched over to his priest, Lifecurse, and we went to the summon stone -- which was being camped by a lvl 80 nelf cat druid in all pvp gear -_- Needless to say, that didn't go very well.
Eventually we tricked the allies by using the summon stone at the island in the middle of Blackrock Mountain's lava lake. By then, I think they got bored anyway and left. Bob then asked if a friend of his, Ambrozia, could come too. Why not? The more, the merrier.
That first boss was a real bitch, as I said, but luckily Bob had done this one before on his other toons, so he mind-controlled the boss. Thanks to Red's excellent tanking, Lifecurse's heals, and my worm, Daggoth's offtanking skills to get mobs off the mind-controlled boss, we managed to get him after only 3 more tries! Woot!
The rest of the dungeon was surprisingly easy. After that doozy of a first boss, it was your standard tank-and-spank all the way through (even if the third boss we had to beat in slow motion, since we didn't have a rogue with us to disarm the traps).
When we got to Chronomaggus, I was literally shaking. Lifecurse hit me with every shield and HoT she had, and after telling the raid specifically
not to attack this boss, I managed to get him! I squeeed so loud, I woke up my grandmother

. If I were shaking before, I was shaking even more then. God! I could hardly believe it! This beautiful two-headed dragon was finally mine! I didn't even think to take a screenie.
All I needed now was a name. Bob had the perfect suggestion -- Torrasque, after the boss from Starcraft I, an elite Ultralisk who keeps coming back, no matter how many times he dies. It fits my new pet perfectly!
Nefarian himself was surprisingly easy too -- even when he locked up mine and Patrika's ranged weapons. Melee hunters FTW!
And here's our victory pose!
Showing off in Org after, when Lifecurse handed in Nefarian's head. I wish we could have reported to the
true Warchief. Oh well.
Right after we handed in the head, I got a comment from a Troll Druid, asking about our raid. He said he'd love to do the same on his hunter, as soon as he can get a group together, and congratuated me. I've never got such a nice comment on a pet before on Alterac. I wished him the best of luck
So that's my story of Torrasque's tame. Whew! I think I'm going to go to bed now.
