Only last week I vote-kicked a tank and his DPS friend for horribly harrassing a healer who was obviously trying, but clearly inexperienced, in a SFK run. (I know, someone might be inexperienced with the game at level 20? Who would have thought!? /sarcasm) As it was, we quickly got a new tank and DPS and had a wonderful run, with two of us who have healer experience giving advice and being nice.
Agreed, harrassment for me is a much bigger reasons to vote-kick then someone honestly trying but poor performance. Also, it is kind of fun to vote-kick a tank when they get *too* big for their britches. They might be a harder class to find in dungeons, but it doesn't mean they have the right to be jerks.

Yea but this situation dosent seem to fall under Harassment sounds like they took a vote and the guy simply said he did not like the Seagull so they Kicked him. Sadly there are people that create pugs like this and will kick people for Childish reasons

Key word here is 'childish'. I don't consider Teigan to be childish, so I have faith that there was a valid reason for said player to get votekicked.

I hope it was a more valid reasoning than just because the person didn't like the seagull. However, we can only speculate until Teigan herself comes and clarifies for us.

Topic, People! Topic!
My seagull's name is Dai. And although I haven't had him out as much now that Dai can't fly (which made me sad), I still love him to death. The sounds he makes are absolutely awesome. And feeding him makes him squeak just like the gulls around here. I'm a seagull-lover IRL, but even so, I'm amazed at how much little Dai grew on me!

I may get chewed on for this but someone griefing another player in a dungeon is wrong whether or not they're doing their job. In my opinion, based on what Teigs is saying this other player was. Had it been me ......................... I would have kicked him to. Playing is supposed to be fun.

I love my seagul, I named him Highwind. Sadly I dont know what he sounds like since my computers soundcard is broken and to fix it (laptop) would cost me around $500...so instead I am saving for a PC, something with more weight so my BF doesn't knock THAT over!
Even without sound though, Highwind is a high favourite, and on my short list of traveling companions.
Nanaki (red hyena) Tifa (white fox) Vlakorados (Chromaggus) Highwind (seagul) with the 5th slot open for tames (aka if I am lucky enough to find one of those epic rares)

They all sound like the ones from Finding Nemo, actually!

Teigan, zed,we were only saying that the kicking was wrong IF the person hadn't been being a jerk. Teigan said in her op that he was kicked for dislike of a seagull and some of us thought that was wrong. I know I personally said that if he/she had been harrassing Teigan, than the kick was justified.

I don't think it's limited to just Heroics.
Funny thing is, is I was just about to post a new thread on if anybody else noticed if their new 'flaming boar/oil hawk/brain-damaged Lone Hunter' was receiving drastically low experience.
My 77 boar is only earning 84 xp a kill on normal mobs. But, as an experiment, I pulled out my Humar who is only 79 and he only received 79 xp.
Not a happy camper right now.

While my lfg-addicted self is heavily frowning on kicking (esp in HoR omg I got kicked there once by a guild because I was going for the off-hand, but not until they were nice enough to get me locked first! /twitch!) I will say I'm laughing like crazy at the mental image of a seagull attacking the LK's head.
I was seriously considering naming it "MINE" (caps yes!) but the profile picture of it made me name it HERPDERP instead. Oh god they are hilarious pets.

It wasn't in HoR. It was some other random later, I think Halls of Lightining. And he was a jerk! Seriously! He earned it!

Hehe, I love how that seagull snuck his way into your heart after such a sporadic tame!

Sometimes the pets that do that turn out to be some of the best.
And guys, no need to bite her head off.

She was joking for story embellishment, the player was kicked for valid reasons.

As long as there was a valid reason, it's okay with me. But I think she could have clarified that she had a valid reason too, because it gave me the impression "Some guy didn't like it, so we kicked him".

Dangit, people, it's called humor. Let's try this again....he was a jerk. He was kicked for a reason. However, it's way more fun to say he was kicked for not liking the bloody seagull. My deepest apologizies....*throws up her hands and stalks away* You take the thread, I don't want it anymore.
