This look isn't a Midnight one, but rather has been added to the database for 11.2.7. But I may as well post it here with the rest.
It's a brand-new (and very gorgeous) corpsefly look! But currently not known from a wild creature.
Its reason for existing is that a few mounts have had new "bronze" looks added to be rewards in the next Turbulent Timeways event, coming in 11.2.7. This is one of them, and as far as I can tell it's the only one which can also be applied to a wild creature.
It wouldn't even need to be copied over! The corpsefly mount and wild beast are actually the same model - just the saddle geoset is switched off in wild looks. So it's ready to be added as it is.
I was never a huge fan of the general Maldraxxus aesthetic. I'm not criticising the art quality, it just wasn't my thing. But I love these flies a lot!

Sporegliders. I really love these and wish there were more than four colours, but they're a really welcome new addition to Spore Bats.

This fen strider update (which I'm calling Mire Stalkers, for want of a consistent name) is beautiful, but I'm not sure what's happening with them at this stage. So far, they're all classed as elementals on Wowhead and have no family. There's no good reason for them to be florafaun as they're clearly spore creatures, like the ones in Outland.

Potatoads are tameable in the Hopper family. They're kind of a goofy (in a fun way) model so I wasn't sure if they'd be flagged as tames.
Almost certainly they'll require the Florafaun taming skill.

Finally for today, Thornmaws, which I assume are like plant-pangolins. They're in the Scalehide family.
Another pet that requires the Florafaun taming skill.
I really hope that skill isn't *too* hard to get or it's going to restrict a very large % of new creatures from taming by most players. On top of our only new family being restricted to BM.

I kind of hope the "tadpole" version gets flagged too. They have a "baby" form that uses mudskipper animations. Love these creepy potatoads though, especially their creepy spiked tongue.

You and everyone else lol. I'd settle for how Undead were tamed, where it's just a "farm until you get it" kind of thing. Significantly more appealing than having to grind out renown again. God I don't want to grind my backside off again like I did for the lesser dragonkin taming...

Thanks
I wonder if the void- and light-infused dragonhawks would be fitting for spirit beast tames. We haven't had any in a while.
I agree, that would be a great addition to Spirit Beasts and quite unique.

I agree with you, I got that burn out during dragonflight when I got the lesser dragonkin taming as season 1 started, just like you. I hope it’s a drop farm like the undead one, or if they make a rep one, at least make it a low renown level like 5-10. But I think it should be unlocked when we do the haranir questline, as we recruit them, we willingly learn their skills

Oh don't get me wrong; I didn't get burned out. I hit the nitro when I was grinding. I enjoy monotonous and repetitious things (god help me). I just don't want the payoff to be awful again. I still miss my tundra vorquin foal that was unfairly stolen away; the entire reason I tunneled that tome was for the goofy foal lol. I would do the same for the plants if that were the case again, but I definitely don't WANT that to be the case because that was most definitely unhealthy to do. With a drop item, it promotes a more fun kind of grind. A quest reward that's easy to obtain would absolutely be ideal, but let's be real; we're gonna have SOME kind of grind ahead of us.

Looking back, the lesser dragonkin skill gave me a reason to grind rep, I was motivated to get rewards and max out, in the war within, there was nothing really to grind for, if this is the case for the plant book, I would be motivated and have a good reason to grind the rep out again. But unless blizzard modifies mend pet to work with elementals during beta, mend pet won’t work, just like how lesser dragonkin was during the first few weeks

Oh god the mend pet bug, you're right. Whenever the beta bugs and reports thread gets made, that needs to be top priority. It was hilarious for the first few deaths with lesser dragonkin, but it did get pretty bad for a while.

Has anyone noticed how faithful the new mana wyrms are to the TBC cinematic mana wyrm. The Midnight art team is so far one of the best. The attention to detail with this one is just 100/10, from the red nose to the fading look that makes it the superior mana wyrm model

I never noticed that, but it gives me a greater appreciation for their design. I just wish their heads were smaller and bodies longer. Can't get over the silly bobblehead sizes lol.

Yes!! They did such an awesome job on this. It shows true attention to detail. They must have gone back to the concept designs for Eversong when creating the new version.
I'm curious and wondering if anyone can fill me in: are the 6-winged dragonhawks also a call-back to an older version of the creature? Maybe from one of the earlier Warcraft games?

Models added yesterday:
Dragonhawks! Another stunning Eversong model.
I included the light-infused one. There doesn't seem to be a void non-mount equivalent but I hope that one is coming.
Also note that the second-last look (the kind of dull golden one) is me copying the light dragonhawk skin to the non-light model. It works perfectly well on that model: it's not a standoutish colour but would be perfect for someone who wants something more subdued. Hopefully they make it available for that model.

Amani eagles. There's a pretty nice range of new colours for this model (including four undead looks) most nothing like we've seen before on other eagles.

These colourful new toads are actually part of a new model, though it's identical in shape to the BfA dire toad (the non-loa one). As a result I've included them in the existing Dire Toad model on Petopia.
