ok im starting to think this is got some quest related, i was look about the came and at it back the far sout east side of the cave, there is a dead flame druid i nthe lava on the land behind it is a book and a small bag/pouch, i think it mite be quest related, maybe it has the item that let you triger them

Aettis, if you haven't seen it by the time you read this, one of the screenshots linked has the rune's tooltip in it.

Oh yeah, if disengage isn't fast enough, maybe try combining with cheetah?

Does wing clip work? Or better yet, is there something the 8 legged thingy doesn't avoids?

YES

I don't think it will be quest related... If it is from a quest, the moment you turn it (daily or not), you lose the chance to tame this mob until you can reaquire it... and since this is a rare it's even more unlikely.

Oh well, I was thinking that maybe like the vanilla demons for Rhok'Delar, some ability affects it, maybe Widow's venom? Tranq shot? scatter shot?

I am thinking nope cause I see the druid but theres no spider up for me.

are you on Eu Brill, the spider in the lava and can be hard to see

I think your initial instinct to use the runes was the right one; it's just a matter of how.

To be fair, the only legit way to reach Jadefang is via a quest item.

However, the runes are also involved with a daily, which doesn't seem to give any kind of quest item to trigger them, and doesn't explain how to destroy them. I'm assuming you just click them (like the runes in the Black Dragonflight cave in Dragonblight.

Oh wow, great detective/teamwork! (I'm actually slightly relieved disengage won't be needed, as I know for a fact I would end up in the lava instead.)

Don't feel bad; it's hard to be the first sometimes! When no one knows what to do yet, anything that might seem like it could work seems like a good idea.
