Fireland dayly area rare Solix and how to try tame it

so on the eu ptr server Solix is up atm, trying to tame him is been a pain do, only thin i do know is the ruins on the floor are the key to tameing him,the Flame Protection ruin stun enemy when destroyed, just have no clue How to make them blow up, any one got any idea or know how?

Could you take a picture of Solix I'd like to see what he looks like as for how to tame him im not all to sure I'd have to try it out myself but my ptr hunter hasnt completed hyjal so i cant

I don't have Firelands access yet myself, so can't really help. What does his debuff say when you mouse over it?

rare hit hard to, like 20k+ a hit, wondor if i shud try not useing armor

edit you take 40-50k with out armor #T_T

my guess would be deterance then tame... maybe he hits for less while your in the lava

Have you tried...

Freezing it?
Dropping an Ice trap and concusive to slow it?
stacking haste with Core hound Ancient Hysteria and Deterrance?

no, you have to find a way to slow him ot tame gets nullifyed, it Douges tame, all i know atm is the anti-flame ruins on the floor are the key, you need to brake them to stun him, and you mite need a small team

Is he a spirit beast or a spider? Could you go survival for entrapment assistance with those snares?

it avoids traps to, the gimice to the rare are the ruins on the ground about the area, i just dont know how to make them self destruct

edit: fixxed my mistake of calling it a boss >< but dmg wish and macanice wish you be able to justify calling it one, hard tame is hard

Question... How are you so sure it is related to the ruins?

I searched for "Solix" but didn't see the other thread come up. This guy looks like the missing orange skin, right? The common ones in the game (Cinderweb Spinner) are the red skin. That just leaves the blue/purple skin as missing (which some people are guessing is Deth'tilak) and the green skin is present but untameable.

Oh my god, he actually gives messages that say he's avoiding your tame?! That's epic!!!

Do the runes activate instantly or is there a delay? Does he perhaps need to hit a certain number before he's subdued and you can tame him?
