I tend to differentiate between silly, stupid, and worse...someone mentioned Fuzzybutt as an example that they considered offensive, but in my book that would be affectionate and silly. My first pet is named Furball and it's very much friendly teasing to an honored and beloved companion.

That said, I report offensive names. Any sort of out of character bigotry, etc. I'm fairly thick skinned and will laugh at clever puns on sexual content, but nastiness directed at someone for something like skin color or orientation, not gonna fly.

Also, I don't think I've seen anyone mention this, but drug names. If you have something about pot in your name I'm going to be looking really hard to catch you fucking up and then I'm going to boot you as quick as possible. I loathe wasting my time carting stoned idiots around, and I aim to actively make it as unpleasant as humanly possible within the rules for anyone who smokes up then acts like a fool. Same thing if you admit you're going afk to light a bowl. Buh-bye, enjoy your debuff. (And no, I don't mind at all if someone has to bio/let the dog out/answer a call or the door.)

Well said. I see nothin wrong with Fuzzybutt. I'm called Fuzzbutt in my guild cause...well...I'm a cat druid. XD

The only name I have reported so far has been "Pedofil", which was being used by a Belf Priest. I need not explain why this disgusted me to the point of reporting it, despite the fact that I am usually rather thick-skinned and don't give a toss what people name their characters.

I have yet to see any racist names, for example, but would also report those.

Sexual (in a consenting adults sort of way), stupid, religiously offensive, gross, druggy...the list undoubtedly goes on; I don't care, it's their business.
