Ergh, I do wish they'd figure out something else for flying horse mounts, because I really hate the hippogryph animation for them.

Eh, still doesn't bother me. They appear skeletal to a degree. I would expect not all of their parts would work right.

Not the point, its a flaw in the way the skeleton was made and carries over to the skins they use it on. x:

Yeah and I've reported it since I noticed it on the sparkle pony.

But this, just like the broken leg on the night elf and troll druid cats, has not, and probably will not ever be fixed. They have other things they'd rather work on than small tweaks to already-released models.

They also haven't fixed the run cycle on the Swift Mountain Horse or Headless Horseman's Steed either. (Compare either with a normal epic horse's run cycle and you'll see what I mean.)

Is it just me, or has Blizzard kind of overused the "this thing normally would be a ground mount, so we added ghostly colored/feather wings so it can fly. :D"

I don't feel it's overused. So far it's just the quilen and now this, unless I'm forgetting something. Even if I am, it's not many. And I like the look :)

Well, there's the winged guardian....and the gemmed panthers. Wait, not those....because LACK OF WINGS. But hey, they can fly via MAGIC, so same principle applies? Hmm....there are others that I'm forgetting.

I find the wings to be pretty looking so I don't mind if they get used lots!

Oh I was just thinking ghostly. I missed the feathered bit. Still, I like them!

Agreed - at least winged horses make sense! Magic cats with no visible means of staying aloft....not so much. xD

*mumbles quietly at the winged guardian which she can't even grump about anymore since she got attached. sigh.*

As a jewelcrafter, I'll reveal a trade secret. The cats are full of helium. Hydrogen was cheaper, but... they don't mix well with all those fireworks. Not pretty.

In WMV this actually is VERY distracting. During gameplay I wouldn't expect it to be much so, unless you have your camera set to a 90 degree angle. From behind you wouldn't see the issue.

This comment made me think that maybe this is a reward from the legendary chain perhaps? Wrathion's mount or something??

You know what, I never really noticed it before, but now you mention it... it you pause the movie at just the right angle....

True, but then it's a bit like a hair cut.

Sure if its a bad one, it's not like you have to look at it all day.... but everyone else does!
