I adore my Krush on Aquillian. He's even tanked Darnavan in Icecrown when we were down a spare tank... such a goofy but ferocious beast. I could never drop him. I still remember a ridiculously silly RP that took place in Orgrimmar involving Krush chasing after chocolates someone kept throwing... XD

My favorite picture of the happy hunter and beast:

I will say though... I miss the black skin I had too. I hope to get it back when Cata goes live.

I had a white devil on Ceryle but I dropped it to test other pets out. Now that that spot is filled by an oil-dripping wolf I doubt I'll get to retame her until Cata goes live! It makes me sad =( But I can always switch to Aqui to get my fill of big toothy stompiness.

You guys are making me hug my Yoshisaurus (yes that's his name). His name may be silly but he wears it proudly. He's been my best buddy along with Barnaby (my 1st pet...a crab from Durotar). He seems to enjoy fighting the evil ppls/things we run into on a daily basis. He once tried to eat Ony's rotting corpse.....he bit her the spit out the disgusting glop. He is very protective but he seems to be a little conceited. Every time a non-sholazarian devilsaur walks by, he roars to show his dominance over them....tho some roar back and he hides. He's as loveable as his namesake.....'cept my Yoshi is 1000x more awesome and would rather devour you then throw his unborn children at you.

Most of the details you brought up apply to my feelings for Skorn as well. There's just something indescribably sentimental about those dinosaurs. There's a personality in Skorn that I've never felt with any other pet before. I definitely have strong attachments to other pets, but none have reached the complete bond that I made with my Devilsaur. =)
[...]the pet comes across as dangerous but dumbly eager, like a real and relentless predator
This! A perfect way to describe that characterization they seem to have. If we're getting serious about a fight or a battle I can almost sense the change of personality (listen to me talk about pixels like this xD). There's no alteration in his appearance, but Skorn's face seems to project both a content pleasure and a fierce predator at the same time. His piercing blue eyes just speak so much in terms of emotion and thought.

I just know Skorn is the sort of pet who will nuzzle Veph affectionately when they're alone, standing over her protectively, but he's all teeth and business when it comes down to it.

I love their casual idle animations with the long, slow tail swipes and rocking head. Happy as can be to stand at your side as a dutiful companion, but they make sure to roar every once in a while to remind everyone that no one's going to mess with you while they're around. ;)

Oh! And they look so proud and noble when they're walking at a slow speed. God I love that.

EDIT: Just because it's one of my favourite screenshots. ^^

I still can't get over how you and your toon look so much alike.

It is quite clear that they have perfected the technology to copy yourself into a computer. Vicky (xD) then forced Veph into a weird game with talking dragons and goats from space.

Lol, looks like the hatchling is trying to get as close to the "camera" as possible to make himself look bigger.

My buddy Chomper (King Krush) hangs out with me doing just about everything, questing, dungeons, raids, PvP, ect.
For some reason I just get a kick out of watching him tear stuff up much more than when I run around with my other pets, I am not sure why.
Be it crushing zombies into the ground in ICC or eating tasty Alliance gnomes in PvP. (They taste best with just a dab of BBQ sauce)

Of course in the rare occasion when an Alliance guy kills him in PvP (it’s just a small setback) that guy suddenly finds himself getting singled out by me (and the big guy of course) and harassed the entire rest of the BG. More often than not, it is a bad BG for that guy. (unless he seriously out-gears me.)
I love how people tend to underestimate BM in BG’s and I love to remind them just what we can do as a team.
You don't mess with a Devilsaur and just get to walk away unscathed. Nope. Not ever.

I don't have a really good pic of us together, but I do have many shots of Theseus being THE PURE AWESOME THAT IS DEVILSAUR!

Epic.

"Oh, so THAT'S what I've been stepping on!"

Look at those perfect lines!

And then there's a quiet moment in the sewers...

Image

Theseus is quite nonchalant around the dead sheep.

<3 my baby! I've never been able to do this kind of photo shoot with Ursa. D: Or any other pet, really. xD

I'm glad for this specific topic. I love Devilsaurs so much. They're the best Exotic pets in the game. No other pets in the game (currently) come close to "de-throning" Exotic Devilsaurs! My favorite Devilsaur's the whitish one. I have no idea how Blizzard'll ever be able to create an Exotic pet that somehow competes with the Devilsaurs!

You two seriously look awesome together. Maybe it sounds stupid, but I'm Ally and I wouldn't mess with you just for the simple fact that I love King Krush and couldn't bring myself to attack him.

I tend to balk at attacking enemy Krushes too, not that I see many. ;) I've noticed that devilsaurs in general tend to get focused down in bgs and such, simply because they're big and noticeable. It makes me a sad panda. :(

Shaon was my second hunter to 80 and the first one to bond with a devilsaur. I guess it was the guild that did it, loving these creatures so much. So when Shaon got to the right level to get one, she did. He was an orange-red Tyrant out of Un'Goro and after some thought, I named him Morok (which is part of the latin name for a chili pepper).

Little did I think how this big lug would grow on me and he's become Shaon's most active pet. Sure, Shaon has her Ramas (Cursed Offspring of Har'koa, who was once a black leopard liberated from Teldrassil) and Ramas will always be her "first" pet. She has an Aotona (Deva) and a surprise Loque-Khaldun. Recently, a warp stalker joined the roster. But Morok is the one she identifies with. He's got this personality to him, collection of pixels though he is. He's big and he knows it. He knows how to throw that wieght around too, but he just seems so careful about his slender mistress, protective and gentle towards her. He the pet the guild knows Shaon for. It was the guild that helped her re-tame Morok as King Mosh.

I had wanted to try a tricky tame and Mosh is no walk in the jungle. At the time, I wasn't up to King Krush, though I hope to make that attempt someday soon. I really wanted to see how I would do against a tame breaking devilsaur. Thus, when a guildies spotted Mosh up and about, I went to see him, having never met the Crater King. And the itch started. Could I take him? Could I beat his Fear? So got my husband out on his priest and with several guildies watching and helping, I started the process. I figured, if I failed, I could still get my Mo back.

I won't go into detail, it's written here on the forums (Two Kings post), but it took four tries, several patient gorillas, and guildie/hubby support. But I got the tame in. It was exhilarating to be sure! I was wobbly went it was over. Tames like that are awesome!

So now Morok has a permanent place in my stable. He's Shaon's buddy. I love all my pets, across all my hunters. I know I shall adore my King Krush when and if I manage that feat. But when it comes to a devilsaur, Morok's my boy.
