I'm now afraid of checking the progress on the official forum thread, so maybe a sister thread over on the EU forums may not be such a good idea after all. >_> I'm just so happy this one's gotten as many responses as it did, though, it means so much to me, thank you again, everyone.

And Royi, that really made me laugh, and after the bad morning I had, I really needed that, thank you!

Progress: <name redacted> is a jerk who evidently punches monkeys in his free time because he wants cheap laughs. Oh, and he has successfully derailed the thread for the time being.

I'm at work currently and have just seen this thread, I agree entirely with your logic Toph, I've got several pets who I love dearly and so know the feeling. I also remember camping for Hawkbane for many days after he disappeared as I had a change of heart and decided I wanted him too, only to find he'd been removed /sad-face. As other's have said the main forums are full of trolls (and not your lovely mojo-throwing type like myself) (Stay awaaay from da voodoo!) so I'd not worry about them, but at the same time I appreciate how that can be hurtful if you're not used to it, if I get the chance either tonight or tomorrow I'll setup a similar thread on EU if you decide against it as I'd frankly love to see him back again either old or newly re-skinned. In the mean time, as you've seen peeps here on petopia are pretty much the definition of moral support for all things pet, so you're in good company here. I'll let you know if I manage to make that thread (will aim to tonight, but have been told that if I dont find my counterpart driving license tonight I can't go on a work trip I need to next week, so might be busy over-turning my house, BAD times >.< ) Til then, good luck and I'll keep an eye on this and the US thread to see what goes on.
Also, what skin was someone suggesting he could be changed to? couldn't see it on the main Petopia site?

Thank you for the update, Cialbi, but I can't help but facepalm at that person, though. It's a lost cause, but I'm surprisingly not too bothered by that fact since there's still this one, and it's far more important to me because you guys are awesome.

@Kirjava - That would be awesome if you could set up a sister thread on the EU forums, even if it doesn't end up going anywhere. I'm just glad this one has. I'm sorry you camped him back then after he'd been removed, that's not fun at all..

I did post about Hawkbane under that thread, yeah, but it's way, way down in there..

I went to release my Gezzarak just now because I was struggling to bond with her, and my best friend went with me... I... decided to show her where Hawkbane used to be... and I lost it... I've never cried so much because of a pet before...

Kalliope was talking about how awesome it would be if they gave Hawkbane the dawnsaber skin, which isn't used by any tamable cat right now in the game, but it's found on the night elf dawnsaber mount.

Thanks you. *hugs back* I'm never going to be able to fill this slot with anyone if they never restore him. Call me crazy but it wouldn't feel right to me at all. I'm going to pick Gezz back up on a hunter alt I play on a different server, though, I really like that warp stalker even though she didn't work out with Toph.

No unsaddled version of that skin exists in the game files that we know of, so it's a complete pipe dream and wishful thinking.

But hey, we can dream.

Honestly, this thread is more important than the one on the official forums. Getting the right community behind the concept.

I'm honestly surprised that there's no unsaddled version of that beauty. It would fit him so well, plus; it looks like a golden tiger, which is my favorite coat color for them IRL with white coming in a close second.

I wouldn't worry too much about a thread dying. Eventually, when everything useful on a subject has been exhausted, the conversation will gradually drop or get derailed horribly.

The important thing is that attention has been drawn to Hawkbane and hopefully Noah will get him put back into the game in a future patch.

This is the only thread of mine I've cared about enough to try and keep alive. ^_^; I'm just surprised it managed to reach three pages. O_o

Hmm, all I can say is you should be happy in the future then, but not for 4.0.6 (it's way too late for any new or returning beasts in that patch). But you can relax knowing your thread HAS been noticed by the powers that be. You won't need to keep bumping it

I've mentioned that one so much I once got a reply something like "you and your flaxen kitty" The problem is, of course, it requires the art team to actually generate a version with the saddle missing. I don't know how they do such things, but I would have guessed they'd have created the skin without a saddle and then added the saddle layer, so maybe there's already one laying about in their files. Of course that's sheer guesswork.

Aaaaahhh!!! OMGOMGOMG!! I'm sitting here trying not to burst into tears right now, and I've done enough of that over the past two days. Even if he doesn't return with a makeover, just as long as he comes back, I'll be so happy! Thank you, so, so much for letting us know!
