No sign of Rak'shiri when I looked earlier, but I got my Hell-Hoot. I am absolutely in love with how she looks and I named her after my best friend's druid. ^_^ I haven't gone out of my way to tame a non-rare named mob/quest mob since Washte Pawne, wow.

It really is a gorgeous skin! And it's such a contrast to the FIERY HELLBIRD abilities. xD

OMG!
I decided to log back in for one last look before heading to bed, and since I'd logged Ril off at the frozen lake, Rak'shiri was there RIGHT BEHIND HER HOLY CRAP. @______@ Tame pic's not so good because I barely had time to react before I had an angry white tiger charging me full bore wanting to rip my face off. No time to tag or place an ice trap, so I just let her beat on Ril during the tame. Very first time I have EVER seen this rare cat in the wild since all my years of playing this game.
Fellow Avatar: The Last Airbender fans will hopefully recognize the name I chose for her. ^_^

Now for belated replies which I forgot in all my excitement when Rak decided to surprise me like she did. @_@
@Kalliope - Yeah, her using Rain of Fire when I had to complete the quest after taming her made me go "Oh, so that's why she's called Hell-Hoot! O_o". Being on an RP server, Rhilla was definitely out of character for completing the quest and killing the poor thing, since I prefer to believe that she decided to tame her instead. ^_^
@Samarachan - Thank you, the Exodar tabard's one of my favorites and as soon as she got out of Gilneas (which was strictly OOC for her since ICly, she wasn't born there) I took her to do what she could of Azuremyst and Bloodmyst. One day, she'll get her elekk. @_@ And again, thank you! It was you wishing me luck that coaxed Rak out of hiding, had to be!

You could RP that completing the quest was played out in a dream/nightmare of some kind, waking up to her being by your side.

I'm not sure if it's frowned upon to repost pics on the forum, but since I'm keeping these two, I wanted to update this thread. If it's not okay, then I'll remove the pics from this post. Call me odd, but I love having at least doubles of pet families I love on my hunters and I don't plan on getting many exotics/high end rares for Ril, either.

I got them both within a few minutes of each other. Holy cow. Today's been @______@.
I went after Rex Ashil first because having tamed Zora on one of my hunters over on Shadow Council, I remembered how much of a pain she could be when it comes to locating her since she's got more spawnpoints than Rex does and if I remember correctly, she stays in the tunnels. Not much really happened worth noting except that, being their level, I had to fight through a few of their hive brothers and sisters, hence why the after tame pic for Rex is turned differently, I'd rather not have a bunch of dead silithids in the shot. x_x Though it doesn't look like it in the taming pics, I did use freeze traps on them both and I'd managed to snap a pic of them before the traps went off. I'm just glad the beetle that decided to beat on me while I was taming Zora didn't get caught instead of her.
I hope I'm not frowned upon for this, but I decided to keep their mob names. I very rarely do this with rares, and I did it this time with these two because I absolutely love their names, and I know to not use them in Silithus since I'm probably not going to quest there.
