I don't know if the tamable Harrower is still tamable or not. I'll check later on today. All other Harrowers are currently untamable. The one Blistercreep is still tamable, but the rest are not.

Most likely Florendo and Torq will not be tamable in Midnight. Maybe in Last Titan.

If we can’t get intended harrowers, that would suck. Flarendo and Torq will definitely be tameable on the last titan. Flarendo better be classed as a mechanical, if not my brain will be fried

OH OH OH! I was wondering if they were going to continue doing the mount collector rewards. I am so happy to see this, esp. as I doubt I will ever get the raid drop and the spirit beast.

And yes! Just checked. My main is at 760 mounts so I'll be able to get this with no troubles.

It's a shame a wild version hasn't been made for that void owl mount! I hope they do make one!

I would absolutely love to have more void flavored hunter pet friends! <3

I’m watching a recent alpha video by a Hunter and it looks like you can indeed, tame a dragon man as a pet haha. I believe these are the Primal Ultradons?

It’s a Survival Hunter focus vid, so you don’t need BM Exotic taming to get this guy.

That guy probably tamed Sinewshredder (the only one that was flagged) prior to this build. It was unflagged this week. Those are, sadly, not going to be tameable. Valnaaros confirmed it's no longer tameable, even though Wowhead is not up to date.

Oh I know that guy, he made some amazing midnight alpha survival videos and I remember frank in one of his shorts, I don’t think ultradons will ever be tameable, unless blizzard flags them at any means since they are practically feral humanoids, I see harrowers being tameable more likely than ultradons

I stand by my argument in a previous page where we already have gromits, which are just alien gnome frogs. Ultradons are just alien ogre lizards! But yeah, very likely not happening unfortunately.

I can add something about gromits, the skeleton is first used by gorlocs which are a sapient tribe of humanoids, and those rat things from MoP, and their animations are rather animalistic as their digging and hopping look more primitive. Gromits are otherworldly hoppers, they can hop and dig, not to mention they also have a few humanoid animations, but I don’t see them used by any gromits. Ultradons on the other hands are standing upright like any humanoid and run like one, if they crawled or had a different posture, tameability would have been more likely. I can say the same for why yetis aren’t tameable, the larger ones use animalistic animations while the small ones walk upright like a person

Ultradons are entirely just animals. Nothing in Voidstorm indicates them as being anything but animals. There is even a Domanaar (Void being) that breeds them, and Sinewshredder is described as a pet.

Yetis, on the other hand, are described as being a race rather than an animal, including having their own belief system.

I know this is partially just a selfish desire for them because they're one of my favourite new creature models I've seen, on top of being a huge Godzilla/kaiju fan but

man, I really hope some day they'll let us keep them :(

I don't think they're too humanoid, I mean we can tame monkeys and gorillas which are bipedal and intelligent. Let me have a cool crocodilian daedra monster!!!

They really are just big lizards! Their bulging, human-like forearms kind of distract from that, since they're so prominent.

Beta begins in less than a day! Good luck to everyone who has a chance of getting in tomorrow.

I'll endeavour to get NPC data up in the next few days so anyone with Beta (who would like to help!) can let me know of any corrections or additions they notice.

I am getting into beta today, I am ready to test out some features and report bugs, I hope it will have a max level character template because I don’t want to do the story for spoiler’s sake. I hope I can copy account data so I can test the new blood beast

Alpha did allow for means to skip to max level, but I'm fairly certain that for Beta you'll have to quest through the zones. Eversong and Zul'Aman are available immediately (though mobs are at certain levels until you reach 90 on one character). Harandar and Voidstorm require both reaching certain levels and finishing prior zones (Harandar requires Eversong being done. Voidstorm requires Eversong, Zul'Aman, and Harandar being done) before you can access them.

I'm also not confident that the one tamable Blistercreep is going to stay tamable. Many Blistercreeps have been added since this one was, and though they are classified as being Blood Beasts, none have been flagged as tamable, so the one that is might be unintended.

It's just a matter of having our voices be heard. Gotta F6 and show support on NPCs that are forgotten. Blistercreeps, much like their BfA equivalents, use the same animations as crocolisks, basilisks, dimetradons, and amusingly grubs. They probably scale to a good size when tamed too. F6 is for sending bug reports, but definitely use it to throw feedback in there too. Don't just let it go; we have to speak up in a civil manner or else we'll just be ignored. I for one have my 255 character copypaste in the works to show my support for fun things.

Plus, we have actual eels and sea slugs. While the devs have forgotten to go back and make the rest of those models tameable, the fact remains that we've kept the tameable ones since the early beta days (at least), and they have been seen in a very positive light. The one tameable blistercreep is in the same situation. We just need to politely push for more to be flagged rather than the one be unflagged. The latter is obviously much easier for the developers, but the former is clearly a choice that would be much better received.

Unrelated, but there are some beasts tied to Abundant events that would retain a spectral effect if they could be tamed. Namely, a Mana Wyrm, a Toad, and a Lynx. There are also more painted version of various beasts in Haranir Legends events, though also untamable currently. Whether or not these will be made tamable, I don't know. I'm leaning toward no, since Blizz over the past couple of xpacs has tended to avoid making things tamable that are tied to events.

Since it hasn't been brought up yet, there is a new variant of Rock Snail that doesn't have the plants and stones on its shell.

Please don’t forget the harrowers—may they all be tamed eventually. No beast embodies the theme of "The Midnight" better than that void-blue one.

Absolutely. Again, peacefully protest by showing your support; Press F6 on relevant NPCs, give feedback in a calm and sensible manner, and be persistent.

Haranir were testable on beta right away, and with it dead, I will now post my own greediness. Made a plant elf, beelined to WoD, and had to see how big the mandragoras were for myself. Absolutely love it, though this is at level 12. Probably bigger at max level, but still. Level 11 twink Haranir get adorably tiny mandragoras.
