At least as far as I've seen, there is only one other place where you can see one as a wild model and it is a friendly creature. I mentioned in another thread that in a questline where you interact with that friendly one, Orweyna explains that there are very few of the "mountain beasts" left and the remaining ones are revered, so it sounds like that they are going extinct and those that remain are viewed as sacred and are protected by the Haranir. It is also possible that these beasts are not from Harandar (based on the paint vision) and are only going extinct in Harandar but might exist elsewhere. But seeing as the Haranir used to be trolls that lived on the surface, which is the time period that the paint vision initially takes place in, it is also possible that they are extinct on the surface and almost extinct in Harandar.

Here is the only one that I know of that is an actual beast and not a Druid form: https://www.wowhead.com/beta/npc=242594/nahuut

Oh, I saw Nahuut and kept petting him expecting something to happen (it didn't), but I didn't catch the part about them being nearly extinct and revered. Even more reason to want them now lol. Maybe one day we'll go to whatever location has them so we can get them.

I just want to point out that I found a baby potadpole. That means that potadpoles in general are not babies, which means they should absolutely be flagged as florafaun hoppers. I'm obsessed with these endearingly dumb little guys. I also found a wild battle pet, but my pets killed it with an AoE. I haven't seen one since...

I think that is just a poor choice of name. Them being called a podling would suggest that they are a baby of some other creature.

Besides that, there is a World Quest that directly says that they are baby Potatoads and you have to rescue them and bring them back to their parents, which are Potatoads.

Bah, my hopes are as dashed as a hyphen on a keyboard. Still, I'm gonna push for this regardless lol

I finally got through the lag, I went to zul aman to tame my most wanted beasts, then quested to the point I could enter harandar, I got the florafaun taming drop from dracaena. I killed two other rares, which includes Rhazul which didn’t drop it, I guess it only drops from rare florafaun. I am bummed out my favorite Thornmaw color is missing, which is blue body and purple head

Edit - thornmaws have a tail whip animation which pangolins don’t have, they also don’t sniff in the air like pangolins do, also thornmaws have footstep noises. And about choloceros, they are small when tamed, a hair smaller than the amazards, same with grovecrawlers, they could be bigger

Just leveled to the point I could tame this guy. may not be as big as a boss, but still huge. I think devilsaurs look gr8 with survival hunters. Wielding a big spear and a big dinosaur alongside, reminds me of Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal

Having spent almost all day in Harandar (quite literally; I have sojourner now lol), I've definitely met my arbitrary quota for reporting bugs, that's for sure. Tomorrow is Zul'Aman sojourner for me! That being said, I will throw some observations and thoughts out there. Going down the list based on the Midnight page's order;

- There's only one tameable Grimlynx, and it's definitely a fun one. It's like a warp stalker on steroids with a cat's prowl for some reason, and that's crazy. Big beefy lad. Not really my cup of tea, personally, but it's a good model.
- Petalwings are very small. They also suffer from having clipped wings when tamed. This is an ongoing problem with all pets using this set of animations. Should start flying when entering combat.
- Devilsaptors have been shrunk since Valnaaros' screenshot a while back. They are now normal devilsaur size. I feel they could use a slight bump up in size though, since the shrunk bodies do look a bit blobby from a distance.
- As worg stated, Chloroceroses are definitely a bit too small. Even with Bestial Wrath and Big Red Raygun, they're small. This is likely due to them being in the direhorn family, which we know scales down a huge amount.
- Also, Chloroceroses should be renamed to Roothorns.
- Potatoads are perfect. They're roughly the same size as crawgs, and they look both lovably stupid and quite nice as they are. Chef's kiss.
- Potadpoles should be flagged as Florafaun hoppers. Expect this to be a recurring point I bring up until launch or (more correctly) they become flagged.
- Mandragoras are definitely my top pick of the expansion, but as stated pages ago, the old mandragora model needs to use the newer lightbloom animations to fix the caved in heads. Maybe a tiny size boost, too.
- Saptors are perfect. I didn't think I'd like them as much as I do. The maroon color has really grown on me.
- Thornmaws are my least liked mob. I just can't get invested in them. That being said however, they are quite sizeable, so they stand out nicely. While I don't care for them, they're a good size.
- Grovecrawlers are weirdly placed in the serpent family, but they don't fit anywhere else. Also, as worg mentioned, they are way too small. At level 88, they're as small as a level 10 hunter pet.
- Sporegliders, the only non-florafaun pet other than Rhazul, have easily become my favorite pet. I just love how big they are, being large enough to feel present while being manageable in size to not be in the way.
- Also, Sporegliders should be renamed to Sporehawks.
- Mire Stalkers are still sadly not flagged, and I hope having reported every instance of the model I've run into helps their chance of being flagged even by a little bit.

@worg: The purple head and blue body is in. It's in a pretty unmarked location, but it's in there unless you mean a color not shown on the Petopia page.

No problem dude, and don't worry; Harandar is HUGE. There's a lot of space to cover here lol. The zone is deceptively massive. I feel like I'm a master of that zone now after having done sojourner while reporting bugs all day. So painful, but so worth it.

Oh, what terrible news  ! A third of my excitement for the The MidNight has faded away. For a long time, the nerubian skeleton(like the Beth'tilac)and the gargoyle skeleton have always seemed like a taboo for hunters—and such is still the case now

I'm almost positive that they hotfixed the mandragora size. They were definitely shorter than female draenei yesterday, but now they're slightly taller.

EDIT: Yeah, they were absolutely changed. They're now the same height as regular hydras. They still have the goofy clipping issue with the jaw on the middle head, and that makes them look a little smaller, but proportionately? They're equal now.

EDIT 2: Added a comparison. I took screenshots during the little pause they do after doing their head argument animation while at the same camera angle and location, and aside from the sunken middle head, plant hydras are properly scaled with normal hydras. Now we just need to get their middle heads fixed!

I just successfully entered voidstorm, it’s a very cool looking zone. This zone is a hunter’s nightmare. So many cool beasts yet all of them are untameable, except for klaxids and trigores. So much hunter pet potential, I wouldn’t mind needing a skill, I just want them.

Has anyone on beta found any tameable pink dreamrunners, the only ones I see are friendly and the other neutral ones don’t use that variant

It could just be an oversight! Surely we can tame our pink sugar frosted frilly unicorns!

As far as I know, there are tamable pink ones unless something has changed.

Yeah, there should be at least two NPCs that use the pink variant that should be tamable.

Have we recorded this fella? Vicious Ray, has the unused teal and yellow look.

As for the pink unicorns, I've not seen any in the wild except the friendly ones. I think pink might've gotten friendzoned.

EDIT: Yeah. Roving Springrunner used to come in four colors (green, blue, pink, and yellow), but now it's only green and blue.

Yes, he is recorded. There are several rays that use it that variant in all zones except Harandar.

The Skittish Springrunner should also come in pink, unless that has been changed.
