Octopus... pusses... pi... podes.... Octopodes!
Are awesome.

Did you guys hear about Paul, the psychic octopus?
Everyone's all like "Wooo, yay! He know's who's going to win at football!" But it won't be long until the damn clairvoyant cephalopod will teach himself to fly and then inspire all of his squirmy brethren to rise up against their feeble bipedal oppressors.
We're looking at a slimy William Wallace in the making.

...Octopi are awesome.

Bipedal Oppressors, good band name.

Tiny 'pode kill you with cuteness!

Are we off topic enough, yet?

I'm not as concerned with the skins on the dogs/wolves in WoW -- what I'm concerned with is the fact that all of the canids in WoW are an anatomical travesty --- they don't look real, they don't move realistically -- they're ghastly. And there is No Need for it to be that way. That Mastiff they propose for the Worgen are an insult to Mastiffs. The worgen and wolves are NOT real at all, they're caricatures -- and there are plenty of artists world-wide more than capable of producing truly beautiful dogs and wolves of appropriate breeds. Someone just doesn't care.

For hunters there are gorgeous choices: Greyhounds, Scottish Deerhounds, Irish Wolfhounds, Borzoi, Saluki, Staghounds and many more exotic breeds... the Irish Wolfhound is ample and formidable and yet beautiful. I've been involved with Sighthound rescue and adoption for more years than some WoW players have been alive.. and I could personally come up with artists to do prototype drawings of any of those breeds. I think it would make a huge difference both to players who are actual 'dog people' real world and to those who simply appreciate the art involved in a beautiful and realistic animation of the characters they hunt with.

Come On Blizz .. you are more than capable of upgrading this aspect of WoW Pets.

I play mostly on EU server Nordrassil, but this is a world-wide problem and I know I'm not the only one distressed by the ugly, inappropriately animated canids in the game.

Someone needs to post this on the suggestion forums, asking for stuff on these forums probably wont reach blizzard.

well really they DON"T need to be realistic as its a fantasy game and blizz can make them look like what ever they want. Really saying that they could make them better is pointless as its their game and if they want to make them not realistic they can. Its a fantasy game not a realistic game i mean two headed animals? like they could ever live and be truely heathy. I don't think its fair to complain to blizz soley about makeing the wolves look realistic as then they would have to change all the other animals to make them realistic too or they would just look out of place and would to me and alot of others take alot away from the game.

I could be wrong, but I believe the old wolf and worg models were Michel Koiter's style. It's beyond a lost cause trying to get anything he made replaced, regardless of the fact that it would be a waste of their time and money.

And the fact that the poor guy died at the age of 19. getting rid of things he made would be kind of mean and would piss his bro off who allso works there :S
