I'm sorry but it's not an opinion when I back it up with validated results from a reputable independent company. I still don't get why you're saying its an opinion. Time in the IT world is very different, the top of the line brand new computer someone gets in the mail 10 minutes ago is outdated long before they even open the box.

And I already said a page or two back it's a personal preference BUT IE is still currently more secure.

I can find sites that say Firefox is better. Doesn't make it fact. Same goes for IE.

While you think IE is more secure just cause a few guys say so, I'm gonna say when it becomes cleaner and stops giving me viruses and stops locking up mine AND my father's computer, I'll be more inclined to support the said opinion thats its better. In the meantime, I don't cause I've never gotten viruses from firefox, only from IE.

It's not a few guys it's an entire independent company, people pay these guys to do testing on information security. You on the other hand have formed an opinion based on what you've observed. I'm more inclined to side with a company who's job it is to test information security rather than an end-user.

The company is also paid to test by:
CheckPoint, Cisco, HP, IBM, Juniper, McAfee, Solidcore, Sourcefire, TippingPoint, TrendMicro, Websense and others.
Why do you keep denying my evidence? It's like you're getting mad at me for having a point and then backing it up with reliable information. D:

I'm not mad at anything. You're the one getting defensive. I'm just saying to let people use what suits them.

Well I said that two pages back, you just kept coming back by stating that my evidence was less than credible and promoting personal experience over extensive tests so I thought you were wanting to continue debating.

You see I normally debate against theists, and I just don't accept personal experiences as more credible evidence than something proven and duplicated. @_@ But I must remember this is petopia this is petopia this is petopia.

Naw. Thats why I put the quote up. It says no browser is 100% safe. That was really the only point I was making.

Fire Fox is sadly, as insecure as IE is. I've gotten Trojan Vundo while using IE, and then I got Trojan Vundo while using Fire Fox. Then while I was trying to get rid of this trojan, I completely destroyed my second to last computer because it is just that nasty and vile. We had to do a complete restart with everything basically wiped just about. Fun eh?

I've also had more bugs with Fire Fox than IE; FF seems to love crashing on me once a day, no matter what site I visit, youtube, here, various news sites, my email, dragoncave, yada yada.

Anyways to believe something is completely infalable just leaves you set up for the bomb: download addons/scripts to prevent adds and crap, get software like Malewarebytes Anti Malware and etc like that. And run scans regularly.

McAfee,
I have seen gold sellers using it in their promotions so I don't trust that place one bit if gold sellers AND HACKERS use it!

MORE FIGHTS OVER WHO SAID THIS AND WHO SAID THAT. Person 1 you are completely wrong, you misquoted me for one and you obviously dont know what you're talking about. Person 2 you're wrong as well, since well I'm right and we both cant be right so there I win.

Might as well duke it out like the Korean Baseball players:

Hey remember this was a topic once about how we feel sorry for Vel? I dont think she intended to start a war. Whenever someone posts something negative in a mean way I'm going to simply post another GIF that has no relavance to this conversation. Please take it to PM if you wanna banter back and forth negatively

Ok, so I went and brought my first ever NEW phone. An Iphone just to get the authenticator. I tend to loose my phone easily and only use it if my car breaks down. My phones have all be handed down whenever my parents or siblings get new phones because I do truely hate the damn things.

But apparently you don't need mobile signal for the mobile authenticator to work. So I've done something totally out of character. But I feel better. Might get the Commonwealth Bank one if it works without signal. Feel safer about doing my banking online as well then.

McAffee is one of the weaker antivirus programs, even our university has stopped recommending them. I'd stick with Kaspersky, Avira, Avast or one of their buddies. As far as browsers go, any of them can be reasonably secure - provided you adjust the settings properly and give it an extension/addon or two.

Oh i love the iphone :) The signal isnt bad where I am (heard other stories elsewhere) but the features are so incredibly cool.

I'm getting a Iphone 4 once my upgrade date hits (March 1st). My wife has a iphone 3 and I happily borrow (*cough* steal *cough*) on some days where I want to play games while I'm on the train to work :)

Plus the Warcraft Armory Iphone app thing is pretty neat as well, I'm not shelling out the extra 3 or 4 bucks a month for Mobile AH, but you can browse nonetheless and check out your characters pretty neat-like.

Off topic ......... maybe ................

I've had an iPhone since 2007 and hands down has been the best cell phone I've ever owned. I bought my authenticator not realizing the app was there and was free. I love my authenticator but every Blizzard CSR rep has told me unless I plan on carrying it with me it's best to have the iPhone app. Lord knows where you'll be when you need to be on the armory or log into your account or if you play outside of the home.
But had I know about it I would have done that instead of buying it. I think with the app you still get the mini pet????

So yeah app FTW!!!

But of course if the app isn't obtainable it's better to be safe then sorry and get the authenticator.

Yes you still get the Corehound minipet with the App. I think i'm going to put authenticator back on my account just in case, I thought I didn't really need it with having the MAC, but might as well be safe.

I bought an authenticator off a co-worker today. All set!
