I really hope we do see those kyrin like steeds as tameable beasts. They are so very awesome!

Friendly reminder that Blizzard is stupi- I mean that the prepatch rare Ix the Bloodfallen spawns a tameable worm using two unused colors;
Spawn of Ix. However, these mobs die SUPER fast, spawn during a rare that is both required for an achievement that's on a 3 hour spawn timer and dies really fast, among various other unfortunate factors that make this thing insanely hard to tame. These use the new K'aresh worm models, and use the previously unused white and red skins.

That’s just stupid. I know they will add in a better source for these worms soon. Anyway on another note. I noticed that pangolins have different running animations than thornmaws and haranir bear forms. When pangolins run their arms are splayed out and their head barely bobs or waddles. The thornmaws and haranir bear form have an exaggerated head bobbing and their arms are closer in and their run is more bouncy as opposed to the pangolin’s steadier running. Also the pangolin have a unique tongue eating animation which is cool and fun to make it stand out a little more, other than those minor differences everything else is basically the same. I’m still a huge fan of the thornmaw tail attack animation

Ah, Spawn of Ix is already controlled. Can't tame it at all lmao. Sadly false alarm.

Yeah, I posted about that a couple or so months ago after taming it. I was hoping that it would be changed to allow it, but no.

There should be some east of Bitterbark.

Great thanks! And the Dark Purple Mana Wyrm, anyone know that out of their head?

Duskburn, right? It's found just west of Tranquilien, patrolling around the plaza-looking area.

More of a current thing, but the current build is 12.0.1, so it's technically Midnight. The Tundra Rhino, once mislabled as a Clefthoof that had remained a fun novelty for over an expansion, has been violently neutered and put into the Scalehide family as we previously were alerted to.
RIP. Today is a sad day for pets.

When I found out grimlynxes ended up in whiptails I was a bit disappointed since that is the coolest new cat model, the shadow jump visual does look very cool and it’s an amazing gap closer, now it’s the first family that has two gap closers in retail wow, in a arena and battleground match BM hunters will definitely clap with them, but I know many will most likely stick with an undead raptor or will end up using a mortal wounds florafaun

Yeah, I understand why it was probably done: to flesh out an otherwise very small Whiptail family. But the two groups don't feel like they should be more closely related than grimlynxes would be to other cats. Just, they both have two tails.
And since only one grimlynx (with one colour) ended up tameable, it almost seemed fruitless from the 'fleshing out a family' perspective.

It definitely doesn't help that there's only one wild grimlynx at all either. Plenty of places they could be in place of reused saptors, but sadly only one rare. I've been putting in a LOT of ecological-themed feedback through ingame reports, trying my best whenever I do go to beta to try and beg for them to change things around a bit. Grimlynxes weren't that high on my list, but I did throw requests out there for the saptors you first see when entering Harandar to be replaced by grimlynxes, among many other things, but no luck on that front. I have a whole list of things I've been repeatedly trying to report, and only one extremely isolated thing has been changed out of a list of over 30+ different suggestions.
I miss dedicated hunter pet developers...

Yeah Hunter pet developers haven’t been working on old Hunter pets becoming tameable and some more fleshed out Hunter pet additions, I still remember all the love hunters got during late bfa and early shadowlands when they gave us more old looks and made older beasts tameable, once Dragonflight came in, Hunter pet feedback became less and less prominent. Still lots of forgotten creatures that are destined to become tameable, and I agree more grimlynx colors should be added into the wild since they all have distinct color palettes.

One theory I like is that they're holding off on grimlynxes so they'll have a bigger presence in a future Haranir homeland zone (where apparently the grimlynxes and the beasts their druid forms are based on originate?). But I don't know anything from official sources.

That actually does make a lot of sense. Haranir and Grimlynxes don’t look like they are directly from harandar. Think about it. Haranir and Grimlynxes and their Druid forms are actual flesh animals as opposed to the creatures of harandar which are plants and fungi. I’ve seen a few actual critters here and there like mudskippers and beetles, but my theory is the connection of the roots to the land brought them there to preserve them. Haranir are definitely from a land that is probably undiscovered or destroyed since I heard that the animals from the haranir Druid forms are basically extinct and a few survivors are with the haranir in harandar. I think the rutaani are the native people in harandar unless I’m wrong, but I do hope we dig deeper into harandar’s origins at some point

Without going deeply into spoilers, it is confirmed that the Haranir are not from them (they state this outright at times) and that they are originally from the surface.

The NPCs that have the pink Dreamrunner skins are called Skittish springrunner, they are located in the “ghostlands” area in the scar. It has five looks and pink is one of them

We haven't had any hints or anything of a spirit beast yet, have we? I wonder what it could be. My bet is they're gonna add a tameable Chimaerus to The Dreamrift if a hunter does something to trigger a challenge, kind of like how you had to solo mythic Halls of Valor for Fenryr. Preferably not soloing the boss, because that's probably impossible for a while, but something along those lines would be nice.
