SV changes Nov 23

Survival
Counterattack has been removed.
Hunting Party (Passive) no longer increases your Agility by 2%.
counterattack was expected as we'll no longer do any melee attacks.
Hunting Party nerf, so SV lost 5% agi during T11 nerfs, and will be losing another 2% agi in MoP...

There will be so many changes, it's really hard to say how it will wash out until we get in beta, and can compare to other classes/specs. It is something to watch though. Remember, this is pre-F&F, so there's plenty of time for changes.
Given the way that they are changing stats, I would suspect that other talents that effect primary stats might be going away.
(Now the pallys are really freaking out over their changes....)

I wonder, since we will not be using melee weps. (Boooo!) Will Deterrence be taken out? Would seem kind of strange (and impossible) having melee weps pop up out of nowhere like that now. But taking them out will make everyone go nuts.

I think they should replace Deterrence with some kind of turtle shell like ability that just protects us from all damage for 5 sec, same cooldown. Makes more sense than having whirling blades fly out of nowhere to protect us when we have no blades to begin with.

one of our optional talents (crouching tiger, hidden chimera) reduces the cd of deterrence by 8sec when hit by a ranged attack or spell.
Chance to be missed by melee attacks increased by 100%, chance for ranged attacks to miss you increased by 100%, 100% chance to deflect spells, and unable to attack.
its still good for pvp (warrior charge, dk death grip, kitty charge, rogue shadowstep, hunter shots, caster spells) and pve (useful for certain boss fights, or trash).
as far as the animation, they could change it. we could twirl our bows/guns, like the way the color guard twirl their rifles

We need a close-in fighting Shot. Something akin to a shotgun blast in the face. Alot of time, if we pull agro and the mob is in our face we jump back or melee till someone comes to our rescue. Atleast when we had melee weapons we could still dps.

I dunno..I'm pretty sure they may make most of our shots Point-Blank capable..like Arcane and whatnot.

They are changing that though, we aren't supposed to get this error anymore, as they are allowing us to shoot point-blank, or at least they plan on it for MoP
