Lesser Used Pets Appreciation "Challenge"
Posted: Wed May 23, 2012 12:35 am
So, I spent this day for my pets that I hardly ever use. I have a few that I adore, but I just... don't use them enough! So today I got up, logged on, and was bored out of my mind... so I decided to give these pets some attention, and I'd like to share what I discovered while doing this, and perhaps if you're in a similar situation, you could try it yourself.
General Guidelines:
He murdered things with his beak and claws and I went all matchy matchy with my Mulgore Hatchling and Swift Lovebird.
I didn't really learn anything knew about Spazzy. I do think he's be very happy as a mini pet, though. His good quality is he makes me smile. He's just a silly little goofball. <3

Next up was Thoridal, my blue dragonhawk. I... did not get any screenshots of his dungeon run, because I didn't really know I would eventually be posting about all of this... so I'll just add a recent screenshot of him.
Thoridal is another pet that will turn into a mini pet. And really, I think that's fitting for him. I think he's sort of tired out of fighting bads, and just wants to relax. Sort of like he's retired, but he's still young. He's just not that much of a fighter. His good quality is that he's a lover. He also brings luck during Sunwell raids.
And lord, is he ever beautiful. <3 I adore his colors.
I went all matchy before his run with Blue Dragonhawk pet and mount, so here's a recent screenshot of the three tonight.

After Thoridal, I was going to run with Karoma, but I got Well of Eternity, which is what I got with her the other day, so I figured maybe she'd want to run something different. So I pulled out Ankha.
I love ankha, she's absolutely gorgeous, and I learned that I have more love for her than I thought I did. I just love how bright she is. I see her as more shy and reserved, and ironically her appearance is bright and just calls for attention.
Her good quality is that she's gentle and quiet, and absolutely gorgeous. I loved watching her during the dungeon, and how different angles make her even more bright and fantastic.
And then I caught a screenshot of her with this spell effect, and my mind was blown.

Next up was Gondria, my first spirit beast. Gondria and I have a lot of memories together, and I thought I was going to release her for Mists of Pandaria, but this run made me think yet again. So I learned that I really do not want to part with her. She's perfectly happy being in the stable, and when she's not? There's no bitterness toward me. She's just perfectly happy to be by my side. So I discovered that her good quality is loyalty. I've gone months without spending time with her, but she's perfectly okay with that. I imagine that she finds something fun to do when she's not with me. Perhaps chasing butterflies. She's a very happy cat, that's for sure.
And she may really stick out in my stable, but that's fine. For now, she's staying.

Then Karoma got her turn again! And... oh, hey, we got Well of Eternity again.. so I gave up and figured she just really liked this place, which irked my a bit, because I hate it. XD It's such a long dungeon, but perhaps that's why she likes it. I discovered a day or two ago that she doesn't like being in the stable. Her good quality is that she is proud. I still plan on parting with Karoma for MoP, but I'm going to make sure she gets a lot of time with me before that happens. She seems to really like running content.
She also look pretty in water.

Then it was Kirix's turn.. oh Kirix. I love him, I really do, but I learned that I'm forcing myself to keep him. His good qualities are that he's a badass, and he matches my green theme really well... but I just don't do well with WoW spiders. I don't see them as having the personality I want them to have when tamed. Wild Kirix? Oh HELL yes, he has loads of personality. Tamed Kirix...? Not so much. It's like when I tamed ihm, he lost some of his badassery. =/ So... with reluctance... I decided that Kirix will be released in MoP. I don't like it... but he's too tame as a hunter pet. And I really do love him... but I'm holding him back. Perhaps one day I can tame him again on another character that will be able to give him what he needs. Mia cannot do that though.
I'll just have to make sure I visit him every day (because he's always up on my server
)

Loque's run was... really uneventful. I didn't get a screenshot during the run, just one before it when he emoted at my boyfriend.
I owe him another run, hopefully something fun will happen. Heck, maybe I'll let him prey on Horde in some PvP.
But I certainly didn't learn anything knew about him. He does really bring back memories of his tame whenever I have him out. Once we get a spirit beast appreciation thread from Wassa you'll learn about it.
It was great fun.

Mirth bird! Mordecai, my green carrion bird. I really love him, he has loads of personality. I thought my bond with him was diminishing, but I learned that I still love him as much as I did earlier, I just need to spend more time with him.
His good qualities are that he's really happy and just a fun guy.
He also matches well with some places in Well of Eternity! ^.^
And... I love taking screenshots of him, it seems.
He just makes cute little poses.
And he's Mirth Bird, so of course he showed the worth his mirth. <3

And last but not least, Madexx! Oh lord, this scorpid!
I don't know how I didn't know this before, but I learned that he is SOOOOOO happy-go-lucky!
He loved to wave his claws in the air and emote happy friendly emotes. He was just... oh so fun to spend time with. So of course, his good qualities are that he's friendly and SO HAPPY. Like, he's OOZING happiness!
BOW DOWN TO HOLY SCORPION. Yeah. He was so happy he randomly sprouted a happy halo.

"Yaaaaay it's DARK!!!"

So that was my adventure today. I thought I'd share and maybe give some people something to do if they're bored!
I'd love to hear others stories, and maybe learn about some pets that I don't hear about too much. ^.^

General Guidelines:
- 1. Must be pets that aren't used as much as you maybe think they should be.
2. Activity should be something that is considered "content" such as PVP or a dungeon/raid of your choice. It doesn't really have to be, but I find it's a really good way to learn/discover. It really leaves a mark.
3. Try to learn something new about your pet(s).
4. Find a good quality about your pet(s).
5. Screenshots of your adventure are applauded but not required by any means!
6. Try to have fun!!
