Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

So far, we haven't seen much with regards to old creatures and families possibly being tameable (alpaca, brutos, kunchong, aqir goliaths, cloud serpents, etc.), so I wonder if they plan to stick to just new tames, at least for 9.0 release, other than the rams. Obviously, alpha is alpha and things ar...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I’m now waiting and crossing my fingers for a mawrat, I want a rodent that is more different and menacing, not adorable or spiny, I don’t mind the maw roach too much, even though it looks cool, Aqir scarabs will always be #1 due to their uniqueness, I’m still browsing the forums 24/7 to see news fo...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I don't really like bugs or beetles but that Maw Roach looks great. I hope it ends up tameable, those glows are neat. Well, as I added below the picture, at least one Maw Roach NPC is labeled tameable as a beetle. Similarly, there are 3 Maw Rat mobs currently labeled as tameable Rodents. Of course,...

Check out the top of their exoskeleton. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/475039973486362627/710871148057067570/unknown.png EDIT: http...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I mean, spiders deserve love, and I'm glad the best spider model was used, but I'm not too keen on it being ghostly. We need more solid creature to fill that family of dead things. I'm guessing that's gonna be Shadra though, since the Horde failed to stop the poor creepy crawly from being siphoned ...

Re: Greater Gorms

It would be cool if they made a Gorm family with all the different types in it, to be honestly.

But the reason I can't see this model becoming tameable, other than the fact that they're an adapted G'huun is the fact that they don't have any swimming animations (yet), sadly

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

Guess I am the only one, then. I really don't see the issue. You're not. There are lots of models that can work as either. Like every other beetle. That was my pov. When I look at it, sure it's less of a tank in terms of physiology, but resolution and polygon wise, it seems higher res than the Aqir...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I'd rather have one as a battle pet, since it's pretty thin and tiny in design. Maybe it's as big as any other beetle, but I think that'd be best as a critter. Still a cool creature though. That dark blue one is really nice. I mean, I think it has more resolution than the Aqir beetles. They're just...

Stiven from WoWhead datamined a rather cool Maw Roach. More pictures incoming soon.

Would be a really cool hunter pet if you ask me. Doesn't look that low res either.

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I got a port to the old world and checked a bunch of rams (and a few horses). Almost all rams now use the new model, but none I've seen so far are tameable (same with horses). I submitted a few suggestions about the tameability of various ram NPCs, bugged one NPC that was still using the old model,...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

If all forms of Gorm (which I actually doubt, but it would be nice) were to become tameable, all of them, minus arguably the wasps, could be their own family. But that would require Blizzard considering the small ones good enough to be hunter pets and for the big G'huun ones to get swimming animatio...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I mean, it'd be an easy Spirit Beast rare for them to add skulking through the Shadowlands as some kind of visage of the Maw seeping into the rest of the Shadowlands, or something like that. Personally, I find it a bit weird since it uses the dragon rig as mentioned before. Its animations are mainly...

Re: Shadowlands Alpha/Beta Beast Thread

I've finally got all the current looks added, and I've put up a draft page here: https://www.wow-petopia.com/shadowlandslooks.php It's still a bit rough. I only just got it together and it's 5 am (lucky no work tomorrow!) but I wanted to get it to you folk to check out. I haven't announced it or pu...

I've been eyeing those three-headed dog-hydras since Legion. They're at the very tippy-top of my wishlist. I'm praying and pleading so hard it hurts.
I think they've been pretty much confirmed by Jeremy.

Re: Shadowlands General Discussion

The longer tail for draenei females isn't new. It was added in WoD, just never made usable. Now, they did say they plan to add tail length options in Shadowlands for draenei females, but I sure do hope they go beyond just making an old option available and actually add a myriad of new options. With ...
