Re: PTR Fun :3

Can't wait for this patch!! Tauren Pally gal here I come!!

Lovely new pets you've found! The undead bird is a new one to me (I haven't been able to read for about a week- I had eye surgery recently). SO EXCITED!

Re: Pet Leveling

Yep, you'd be surprised how quick your pets level in heroics now. A L77 pet needs 1-2 heroics to get to 80 (depending on which heroic; if you get Occulus, your pet is going to get very little exp). I did not realize pets do not gain exp in pvp with you! Why not?!?! That's utterly retarded! I'm not a...

Re: CANNOT UNSEE

I wanted to post my accomplishment at thotbot in the rfc worm (earthborer) page, but before posting I read just a few post about the worm and one of them read "I just notice how the pink worm looks like a male's endowment"(I toned down the language) and I just could not believe what had b...

Re: the death ravager

Well, the problem is, he originally WAS tameable- but is/was an extremely buggy pet. I cannot remember the original problems, but I think it was something like it would rarely follow pet stances, often aggro'ing neutral mobs, or not follow attack commands. He was a nightmare in PvP, and they made hi...

Re: Apect of the Wild...how useful?

There have been two specific instances when I've used Aspect of the Wild; and I've been playing since original Beta. #1) PvP, when a Balance Druid was whacking me with Wrath. #2) Sunken Temple instance. Especially when we weren't all L60, the Nature Resistance was extremely handy once you got to the...

I agree; this is the single most important change in Cata. Yup. xD

Re: Trollish woes.

I noticed this when I made a baby female Troll Druid to see if I'd want to race change my existing one on Live. A male logged in beside me, and I was HORRIFIED. Then I saw the male NPC nearby and just totally freaked out!

I'm quite fond of Tauren-esque names- which I believe are based on Native American names. I tamed The Rake and named him Desertsong, though Sandfur was also considered.

Re: Any insane pet tales?

A long time ago, sometime in vanilla, I ran a little dwarf huntress in her teens (probably 13 or 14) from her starter area all the way to Mulgore to get a barking wolfy. I met a few high levels on the way (especially waiting on the boat in Booty Bay) and they thought I was crazy running all that way...

Re: Spiteflayer

I've seen Spiteflayer many times over the years I've played.. He would always spawn and laugh his vulture laugh at me as I was waiting for Grunter. I've been looking for Grunter since the beginning of BC. I have never, EVER, seen Grunter until two days ago: in a rare swap, I was looking for Spitefla...

Re: NPCscan in 4.0.1

Ooh. I gotta try this. Will update! EDIT: I kept Precious (Loque) by my side on Ikult, and put Nyarlathotep (Skoll) in the second-to-last stable slot on the secondary stables page. Logged out completely, cleared creature cache, and logged back in on Ikult. I did /npcscan cache, and the ONLY pet that...

Re: Wargen special privlage

Don't you worry- there are City Tabards available at very low levels in Cata, and your Worgen can go equip one from any major city, and any dungeon you do will give you rep with that Home City. So once you ding L15, go grab a Stormwind tabard and go nuts with the Dungeon Finder! You will be Exalted ...

Re: How does everyone feel about the pet offerings in Catacl

I agree whole-heartedly with Rikaku's standpoint. I am still quite upset about not being able to tame a Zhevra (I've wanted to tame one of those since original beta), but I also keep reminding myself that first off, Blizzard cannot in any way please everyone, and second, I personally feel a bit whin...

Re: Why do YOU have two hunters?

Well, I currently have 4 hunters: 80 troll, 66 orc, 28 tauren; and an 80 nelf. I've deleted 3 or 4 hunters over the years, one of which was L62. While I've gotten every class to L80 now (whew, that rogue took for-ev-er , I am NOT a rogue OR melee person!!), I keep rerolling hunters. Their special cu...

Of cold weather and kitty naps

Ahhh... Cool weather is here, and while I do not like the cold, there is one thing I love about this time of year as a cat owner: more frequent cat napping! Now, I know kitties sleep a lot anyways, but when it becomes cool weather, do you notice your kitty sleeping more frequently on that soft...

Re: How does everyone feel about the pet offerings in Catacl

(Please note this entire post is my own opinion.) I've been burnt by Blizzard many times over the years. I've played a BM Huntress since original beta (back when BM sucked royally), and forced the spec to work. We BM hunters were limited severely by our pet's scaling, and as Blizz slowly began to t...

Heh, good, I wasn't the only one who immediately thought "Karma" when I saw "Karoma". I think this is one of the very, very rare times where I might be tempted to keep the pet's original name. </rant> THIS IS KARMA, BLIZZARD, YOU BASTARDS! YOU TOOK MY GHOST WOLF AWAY! </end rant>

Re: [13202] New tameable lion (Alliance guild mount style)

While I'm not terribly keen on this model after looking at it in motion, I will have to tame him just once, on one of my hunters. (probably Ikult, my main Horde). He will be named Goldie, as a tribute to my first cat I had when I was 8yrs old. Goldie was an orange tabby, and the epitome of a "c...
