For a hunter, I'd prefer the second.

Can you just use parts for a transmog I hope I do understand your question right... First of all, you do transmog each item separately. You do not have to transmog whole sets. Items for head, back and shoulders can be made invisible. All other items will be visible and therefore should somehow look...

I didn't back up my WoW folder, so my hands are tied until the new WMV is out.
(Which takes pretty long, actually... I do seem to remember to have a new version much quicker with other patches.)
