TL;DR : Locking tames behind something is fine, as long as that "something" can be approached by people individually and on their terms (solo challenge, item, reputation, tracking, trick tame, etc.)

...Yeah I don't think putting him in a raid was a good idea.
Between there being only one mob to tame in a raid with multiple hunters to people griefing it or aoeing it down accidentally is just asking for problems.

Oh gosh I've been wanting those three as pets for a long time now, especially Hippogryphs/wyverns.
Noob Hunter me was very disapointed when I ran into those and couldnt tame them the forst time.

I wanted the BM belt/ring/bracers but I did get the boots.
I wasn't sure about them at first but they are pretty nice, good stats and you can get near constant kill commands with it. Very useful during bw.

Alright so, I went back there and heres what I've found:
Bloodgaze(Red/black)-Azsuna, Challiane's Terrace flight point, they are right beside the pvp area on the shore below the cliffs.
Sharptalon(Green)- Val'sharah, on the north shore above the Druid class hall, they are right along the edge ...

Tbh I still miss my fire pet from back in Cata, I know he had to go but it was so much fun to use.
Great times were had in Org via sitting him on top of players while named a fire effect.

I'm still hoping for new Wind Serpents/Serpent and Dragonhawk models or even a spirit beast myself. Tallstriders and Hyenas too.
Especially a spirit beast Wind Serpent since I have always found those guys cool.

Did you happen to notice whether or not they have diets? If they at least have that, then there's hopefully a chance that they'll be flagged tamable at some point? I'm holding out the same hope for those cute owl..cat....things. :D
When I was checking the Bloodgazers I didn't see a diet but that ...

I can upload some pics later but they are up on the PTR right now but sadly untamable currently. They are always in the area and sometimes a wq will pop up there. The quests so far reward Warden rep.

All I know is that Silas is not what he seems to be.
Considering that the spirit met him as a kid thousands of years ago and the fact he buries a guy alive next to his dead brother in the manga...yeah. I could see something happening with him eventually.

From what I last saw Survival Hunters also turn into an eagle spirit that can fly after death, pretty helpful.

Personally I find it a waste of money since i'm an engineer and was already planing on going after it for myself and too possibly sell some. I can see why some would do it but y'know.
