Sometimes a hunter will trigger your NPC scan as a tradeoff for showing you they aren't there as competition. If I'm doing something near a rare's spawnpoint (for an extended period of time) while the hunter is there camping it, I'll often take out my version of the pet, /point at it, then /luck th...
