Hi folks! Confirming for Veph- my hunter looted this on live off of the "Bloodtusk Ancient" elite in the Valley of a Thousand Legs, Maldraxxus. So I can confirm it's dropping, but not if it's 100% off this mob, or just from elites in the zone and I lucked out. But it does exist.

My issue isn't with my pet dying during 3-man miniboss battles!
It's with REGULAR mobs.
The battle where I had to rez my pet 5 times, despite also having a Warrior with me on the fight, was a single-person mini-boss, not a multi-player boss.

So there it is.
Blizzard has, in effect, made it difficult for me to use the pet I WANT to use by making it entirely incapable of handling regular mobs.
Like I said, today's questing SHOULD have been fun, the story was fun and all, but having to rez my pet 5 times in a fight so completely pissed ...

I can say with 100% certainty that I had the Pantharas targeted as I threw the meat during both of my successful tames.

I also have had success on live taming two Panthara on Thursday.

Went Survival, into camo, walked up into meat-throwing range, threw freezing trap, threw meat, saw the animation of a blood splash around them as I immediately hit tame. Worked both times. I did not Trap -> Feign, just stayed in camo ...

Yeah its probably a misunderstanding on what was seen. Wanted to give the benefit of the doubt though, but the screenshot doesn't clarify it being a hunter pet especially with a shaman right there and another hunter pet shooting the lightning.

FWIW its definitely not the shaman spirit wolves ...

My shaman is only level 100, but his summoned Spirit Wolves are classified as Beasts.

Is it possible that this was achieved through dueling a shaman and taming their summoned wolves?

Them specifically mentioning battle res as if it's a negative worries me. So many useful petskills have been removed already.
I really wish we could just pick the pet skill like we pick the pet spec. There are so many pets I just don't bother with because they don't get anything useful.

It's at least a couple hours, but may be made screwy with CRZ in the lower-level zone. I got him after about 3 1/2 hours of camping with no one else in sight.

I farmed the earth elementals in Arathi Highlands for the gold for my first mount at level 40. Their trash drops vendored fairly well, and they had a decent chance of dropping white profession materials that I could AH, as well as Greens.

As someone from an RP server, I think that's ridiculous. It's totally absurd to think that every single human hunter started 'learning' to be a hunter scarcely a few years ago in lore-time. Just like Death Knights and Demon Hunters existed before they were playable classes.

Based on the height you have, my best guess would be maybe as soon as he aggros, dismount, fall into a disengage, pop turtle (for both no damage and heals) and then proceed to tame.

At the moment, 897. I'd gotten close at 892-895, but it was hard to keep up if I messed up or got low when the worm did ambient damage.

This is a nice list- I really think they need to expand the currently available pet abilities to more families. I'd even be content to see them give the Spirit Mend-like heal to other Exotic families as appropriate.

With so many families having nothing now, it really limits our choices. Hopefully ...

Something like Lalathin is only "locked" behind raiding for the current expansion- just like every raid boss tame. It's not like she's going to require a raid group to get forever, and neither would any pet located in or associated with a raid instance.

Key Talents: Intimidation, Aspect of the Beast.
Pet: Tenacity turtle, but frankly, I think Shell Shield was overkill. Could use a Spirit Beast for healing or a Bloodlust pet if you don't want to buy Drums.

Been watching the spawn point near the SW flight master for about 2 hours now, no respawn. Since we have some reports of 30 minutes, it's likely variable- or the SW location isn't the only place it can appear.
