You don't have to solo every boss, just Hymdall and Fenryr. The moment that I killed Fenryr (solo), Fenryr spawned in the cave. I literally saw him spawn. No resetting. No running out the back in. Just did the challenge and he spawned.
See, that makes sense. Didn't work or happen for me, though ...

After hearing about Fenryr being tameable today, I went into HoV Mythic +0 and solo'd Hymdall, skipped trash, and solo'd Fenryr.
