8 New and Rare Tamable Beasts!

I'm liking this idea so far! Trick tame type things are fun, and I'm excited to see what other challenges they'll give us. I'm not fond of the bird and certainly won't be taming it, but that's more because I already tried Olm and didn't like him. Or any other owl I've had. Ankah, however... She might not get tamed on my main, but she'll most certainly get tamed somewhere!

We're gonna end up with so many SBs eventually that people will have stables full of them. xD

Speaking of that, I'd like to see some of these not be spirit beasts. People have been asking for a bird SB, so I like that that one is, and it would be kind of weird if a cat who looks like Gondria wasn't, but I'm hoping some other won't be.

I hope the ghost hydra comes back. But as a hydra. I hope we get more devilsaurs. And some more of the pets who don't have very many skins.

He is not one of the new rares; He is Kelbnar one of the four lords in the new questing hub and is a part of the daily The Protectors of Hyjal and achievement The Fiery Lords of Sethria's Roost, so I doubt he will be tameable.

Hmm yes would be a good idea to have a list, if not I can always make a new topic and what not. But you know Anhka is going to be the hardest by far.. not because you have to hope you doing get killed, but because you have to have the bag space available to put all your armor gear in order to tame it

I'm kind of looking forward to seeing those hunters who didn't do ANY research get one-shot by Anhka. Wish I could see the looks on their faces.
Then the "bug reports" saying that she needs to be nerfed because they can't figure out how it works.

Boring. It looks just like Gondria with a slightly different colour and fur pattern. Should've known Blizzard would be lazy about this.

See, I wouldn't call it lazy. The white 'Gondria' skin has been in the datafiles for ages now, along with a few others that have just been collecting dust. They already existed, so in order to put them into the game...they thought of a really cool way to add them using these unique tame challenges.

What other class gets this much attention? We're pretty spoiled I must say. We just had a whole batch of new rare beasts to go after along with challenges that are reminiscent of the old class quests. All for us hunters. Sure some of the beasts may not be as exciting as others, but at least we're getting them, and I think the taming methods bring a lot of fun into it.

The fact that they've been sitting around collecting dust just makes it seem even lazier to me. I was expecting some amazing looking, Firelands-themed beasts with totally unique looks. So far we have Gondria's-almost-twin and Olm's-almost-twin. In fact, as far as I can see, the only difference between Olm and this new one is the extra wing glow.

Very, very disappointed so far. I hope for something a little more unique... Perhaps that Firelands-skeleton-dog-rare?

Hehe, I know everyone will have their own views on it. I suppose the fact that this was a complete surprise just makes me compare it to, say, someone arriving at my house unexpectedly with a cake, and then I complain that it's the wrong flavour.

Also, this seems, to me, like it's more about giving the hunters some pets they've always wanted. The masses have been clamoring for a SB bird for ages. I've heard many people wish the white Gondria was in the game. For all we know, hydras and stags and whatnot are going to be the rest of them. I certainly wouldn't object to that.

Well now that I've calmed down a bit (Had something to eat, when I find out some disappointing news while I'm hungry, I tend to rant a lot/talk crap.) I can understand why exactly they were put in the game. Of course I'm going to still find and tame them, even if it ends up just being for the thrill of the way that you have to tame each one in a different way.

I'm assuming that Ban'thalos's trick would be the fact that he's flying so high, so we have to find a good way to aggro him, land without dying, drop a trap before he two-shots your ass and tame? Sounds alright to me. I did like Anhka's one as well, the fact you have to get naked and tame, it'll be amusing in many different ways.

However I just hope they aren't all spirit beasts/really similar models to other rare pets.

As soon as I saw the news I was all like, "to the Petopia forums!". Y'all didn't disappoint, we're like fat rats on a cheese ball when it comes to this. I love the WoW hunter community, I really do.

I'd like to see some opaque-type beasts as well, just to add some more variation. As much as I enjoy the transparent look of creatures (I had a Ghost Saber from Darkshore forever), we've had six models like that over the past two expansions, it's starting lack lustre for me.

I'd have to see the rest of them as they're announced to make a decision, but I think the unique challenges accompany them will take an interesting turn for Griefers. As far as I know, they're all neutral and cannot be attacked, right?

I smell a screw job. At the very least, they better not all be Spirit Beasts. My main hunter is a BM and all, but that just isn't cool to exclude the other specs.
